Quiet country home surrounded by orchards and vineyards but only 3 miles from the freeway. Less than two hours from King's Canyon, Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks! We are just 15 minutes south of Fresno, CA.
Meet our gentle alpacas. We have 20 right now They love carrots if you happen to bring some! Private entrance to your cozy room with private bathroom and shower. Wireless, plenty of parking space. Pool. Small towns nearby with good restaurants and stores. We are just "bed and breakfast" (i.e. we have jobs) with check-in any time after 6 p.m. and check-out time 10:30 a.m. If you stay more than one night we can certainly be more flexible on times. Beware, we have very friendly dogs...........
We love meeting people from all over the world and we'd love to meet you! Barb and Charis
That's what airbnb is all about. Normally hotel reviews include location, cleanliness, quality of breakfast and similar boring stuff, but not here. Not that there was anything wrong with these - the location was great as a stopover for our trip between Yosemite and Death Valley, it was perfectly clean and I feel like coming back just for the banana bread.
The real strength, however comes from the owners - Barb and Charis. We had nice chats in the evening and morning followed by giving breakfast to the friendly alpacas with their brand new haircuts. In which hotel can you get that? In the end, when we had to go it felt like leaving old friends.
Our travel style is a bit rushed, which is a pity. We barely spend 12h at Barb's farm. Places like this deserve more time and if you have it will definitely recharge your batteries.
An animals lovers paradise! Dogs, cats and... Alpacas! Such cute animals! The absolute ideal location if you are heading down south after visiting Yosemite. Barb and Charis were lovely and welcoming hosts. Guestroom and bathroom were great and the bed very comfy. Breakfast was really brilliant! Amazing value.
Barb and Charis were excellent hosts! The place was very clean and tidy and lovely. We felt like we had privacy and it was a relaxing quiet sleep. The alpacas were fun to meet! A very cool experience. Also breakfast was a very thoughtful bonus with lots to choose from and the coffee was really good :) Thanks again Barb and Charis! I will email you the alpaca photos soon.
We had a great time staying here. The description was accurate. The setting was great. We are birders and saw many birds just in the front yard. A real treat. The hosts were very friendly and house very clean.
Room was comfortable with a private bath. We very much enjoyed the dogs (who were well behaved) and visiting the alpacas. There was a wide variety of breakfast choices each morning.
The location was nice because it was in the country but close to Fresno for our meeting there. I would love to stay here again.
We could not have asked for more welcoming hosts and thoughtful and open set of people to greet us on our travel. The only thing I regret is not having had the chance to hang out with Barb and Charis more. Thank you!
The place is easy to find, and the pictures due it justice. Perfect place for an overnight stay on the drive to or from LA. I arrived late and left early but they were very hospitable and accommodating. I brought my two dogs with me who stayed with me in the room in their crate. Very easy to Their dogs are super nice as well. I would consider staying there again (I didn't get to meet the alpacas since i had to leave early).
Barb and Charis were amazing hosts, so welcoming and kind! The room is just how they describe it, very clean and it is great to have an en-suite bathroom. The Alpacas are such a fun addition and they invited me to help with feeding them and walking around with one in a halter. An amazing experience! Their dogs are very sweet and fun, always happy to see you.
Barb is a retired adult school teacher and has raised alpacas for 12 years. Charis is a respiratory therapist. Bed and Breakfast with AirBnB has been a great experience for us. We love meeting people, visiting and learning new things about other places. We also do commercial mortgage inspections around the Central Valley and we play lots of pickleball whenever we can. We'll tell you all about it! :)
20 alpacas on the ranch at this time with one 4 month old. We also have dogs that are small and friendly
