The Space

This cozy 48m2 apartment is ideal for four people and is located on the ground floor of a typical street in the historical centre – the Via degli Spagnoli It is situated in a beautiful period building in the Campo Marzio district in the very heart of the Eternal City.
The district is home to one of the most famous roman palaces; the quite magnificent Palazzo Borghese, and two of Rome’s most important squares, the Piazza di Spagna and the Piazza del Popolo. Other places of interest are the Terrazza del Pincio and the nearby Casina Valadier located in the Villa Borghese.
The metro stop Spagna (line A) is close by and its central location allows visitors quick and easy access all over Rome.
As is the case for most of the city, the area offers a wide variety of restaurants and places to go out. Those looking for typical Italian cuisine should head to the area surrounding the Piazza di Spagna, whilst visitors in search of more historical cafeterias or venues will find an ample selection around the Via del Corso.
This beautiful apartment, tastefully and carefully furnished has two floors. The first floor has a peaceful lounge area furnished with sofa bed, comfortable table and flat-screen television. The kitchen overlooks the lounge and is fully-equipped with all mod cons.
The modern bathroom has a shower that is perfect to relax after a long day’s walking around the streets of the capital. On the second floor there is a bedroom with a double bed and wooden beams on the ceiling that lend the room a particularly warm and cozy atmosphere.
Air conditioning and internet connection is available throughout the apartment.

  • Good location, neat place but has some flaws. Previous reviewers are right about the muggy smell and insufficient hot water for two people to take showers. Washer seems to work okay, but clothes take over a day to dry because of damp atmosphere in room and they end up smelling a bit muggy themselves. Room was in great spot, clean, bed was comfortable enough, and stocked with kitchen supplies and such, all good things. But unless the humidity/smell and hot water issues are fixed, I wouldn't stay there again.

  • Our stay at Fabri and Vale's wonderful apartment was a great way to start our trip! We had them arrange for a car to pick us up from the airport, which was a great idea because, not being familiar with the winding streets of Rome, we probably would've gotten lost trying to find it on foot with our rolling bags! The hire car driver Raoul was great as well and very helpful in Italian travel tips.
The apartment was very comfortable and clean; it is in a very central location, just a couple blocks off of the Pantheon which was so great to be close to the sights! We walked to Pantheon, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Vatican, Trevi....and more. It is not very close to any metro stops, so best to just walk everywhere anyway. We slept great in the comfy beds, and enjoyed how dark the apartment got at night, great for sleeping! We would definitely recommend this for a group of 2-4 people, but any more would be too cramped!

  • We had a wonderful stay at this little flat. It is small, but perfect for a couple and extremely central. A few blocks away from both the Pantheon with its lovely square, and the Piazza Navona and Piazza del Fiore. Evenings were very pleasant to wonder around and discover local restaurants and squares close by and one is very much part of the nighttime action of Rome. An added bonus is that the flat is situated in a quiet street, thus one still sleeps very well at night.
The flat has no windows to the outside except for a small bathroom window, so one is a little inward focussed and it is dark inside, but because it is so close to public space, one doesn't need to spend a lot of time inside.
Fabri and Valentyna went to a lot of effort to make our stay comfortable. The flat has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The large bowl of fresh fruit we received on arrival is also much appreciated. Fabri's recommendations on restaurants close by that are not too touristy was very accurate and worth trying to follow if you stay here.

  • Rome was out first stop on our Europe tour, we were welcomed warmly by Natalia. Although we did not have phones we found the apt and met her at the door. The apt is small, but has everything we needed! The location was perfect and everything was within walking distance. These comfortable accommodations our stay wonderful!

  • We enjoyed our stay here very much. The studio is in a very central area which makes it easy to get anywhere from there. It was a nice place and was furnished just right for a short stay, the beds were comfortable and it was very clean. It looks just like in the pictures so what you see there is exactly how it is.

Communication with the host(s) was very good, they were quick to reply and very helpful. They sent many recommendations for restaurants and the one we tried (La Tavernetta 48) was very good and they gave us a discount because we were staying there. Check in and check out went very well, we arrived at the place at the same time as our host and when we left we just had to leave the keys on the table.

The apartment door is right on the street which was great for getting in and out without stairs. It did let in noise from the street, mostly people talking loudly and loud scooters, but that really wasn't a problem for us, just an observation.

We can highly recommend this place, we had a great experience staying there!

  • The apartment was in a nice neighborhood, super close to the Pantheon. My family completely enjoyed our stay there. Some things to note about the apartment for consideration:

    - Top location in the city. It is a nice central location to most of the major sights in Rome. Nice local bakery around the corner for breakfast, and also open 24hrs for snacks or beverages.
    - It is essentially a studio apartment. It was very clean and well maintained. The bed is on a wooden loft above the sofa.
    - Shower is very small. A big guy would have trouble fitting (I'm 6ft, 190lbs and it was tight). The hot water tank allows for only a quick shower with hot water. Can be managed with two people though if you are quick.
    - The apartment door opens literally to the street. The street cleaner vehicles go right past in the early morning, and it can be quite loud. After the first time we were used to it though, and was usually so tired anyway from sightseeing, I slept right through it.
    - The owner was able to schedule airport transportation in a private vehicle, which really helped in our planning (one less thing to figure out). They were right there when we arrived, and then we left at 4am for an early flight out of town. The driver was there right on schedule. I highly recommend doing this, as it was a very reliable service.

Overall, if I visit Rome again in the future, I'd stay here here question about it.
