  • We had a lovely stay at Stefano's. I only stayed for one night but I wished I had stayed longer. The place is right in the very centre of Assisi making it the perfect location, Stefano have really clear and easy instructions. He was really helpful in advising us on what to see and how to get there. The room itself was really nice, it was clean and tidy and our room had a beautiful view. We also went to his restaurant which was lovely as well and served a great variety of traditional Umbrian dishes as well as other Italian dishes. I would definitely recommend staying here.

  • Very good location and comfortable bed. Don't miss the Trattorria by the same name. Everything was clean, worked well. Breakfast and tea/coffee were excellent. View was stunning from my particular room.

  • Grande gentilezza e attenzione in tutti i particolari ad un prezzo molto valido considerata la posizione centralissima dell´hotel. Unico neo la scarsa insonorizzazione delle stanze. Consigliabile a tutti.

  • The bnb was situated perfectly in the middle of Assisi and within walking distance of everything. Stefano was extremely kind and helpful, coming to help me with my bags and show me the way when I had a little trouble finding my way. There is afternoon tea and snacks available for guests, and the breakfast was fantastic! There were fresh rolls, meats, cheeses, cakes, juice, and Stefano himself made espresso drinks to order. It was a great value for the money, and I would definitely recommend Fortezza :)

  • I arrived in Assisi after the sunset so I was so panic when I hoped off the bus. However, Stefano kindly picked me up even if it was after the check-in time. He also showed me some monuments on the way to the hotel. I was so touched by his hospitality.
Hotel was small, but the room was really cozy, every amenities I need was prepared, breakfast was so good, and especially, the view from the dining room was so beautiful.
If only I can have another chance to visit Assisi, I am definately going to stay in Stefano's hotel again.

  • Stefano was a most gracious, accommodating and enjoyable host. His place is the PERFECT place to experience Assisi from. Literally, 12 seconds from the center of town and everything wonderful in this beautiful town. Do not miss a chance to stay in this incredible area with these fantastic people. Get lost here and stumble upon Stefano's steps time and time again. Perfect.

  • Loved staying here and found Stefano and also Genni to be wonderful. Stefano is simply outstanding - endlessly helpful, pleasant and wanting to ensure you are comfortable and looked after. The hardest thing about this place was finding it - and then because I'd forgotten the name of the hotel, arrived late, and got confusing directions from the locals. It's just off the main piazza, tucked away up a flight of stone steps and excellent location.
The hotel was clean, and well located, and we couldn't have been happier. Very, very quiet - presumably because its an old Umbrian house converted, with thick walls. You hear the church bells ring if you open the windows (or even if you don't). And very good breakfast - cereal, yoghurt, ham, cheese, rolls, plus various local tarts and pastries, and coffee made to order. On a fine day you can breakfast on the little terrace atop the house, or take a cup of train the afternoon. We would happily return, even with the typical Italian shower (no curtain, water everywhere). The rooms on the ground floor might be slightly noisier - ours on the first was delightful.
