The apartment and the views are as stunning as they look, and James & Akbar are wonderful hosts—busy with their own work, but happy to have a chat whenever they're around. The building and its public spaces aren't much to look at, but the location is ideal—steps away from major transit hubs (King's Cross, St Pancras, and Euston Station), the newly trendy areas around King's Cross, and the British Library. I hope to book with James & Akbar again next summer when I'm in London.

My stay in London was short and sweet! Akbar really helped me get oriented on my first day and even drew a map for me. Thanks to Akbar/James's advice, I was able to visit most of the most iconic spots in London in just half a day. Their flat is pretty central and close to at least 3 tube stations: less than 10 min walking from St. Pancras/King's Cross station, less than 10 from Russel Square (where the Piccadilly airport line runs), and about 5 min from Euston station. Quite convenient. The guest room is fabulous. It's spacious, organized, and the views are lovely. On my last morning, Akbar made me a cup of tea :)

I loved staying in James and Akbar's home. I was traveling by myself and this place felt like a home away from home. From the start, communication was great. They checked with me prior to my arrival to confirm my time and Akbar was there to greet me and show me the house. Now, for the house... IT IS BEAUTIFUL! Everything is very tasteful and clean, and the views! Two of the four walls in the kitchen are huge windows from were you can see part of the London skyline (the Shard and the BT tower). I spent many moments looking at this view. I was lucky that my room also had part of this gorgeous view, alongside a very comfy bed, a spacious closet and several extra amenities like a tv, a hair dryer, and convertible power plugs (very useful!). This place was great because it allowed me to explore the city, basically you can get ANYWHERE from here. It is a five minutes walk to Euston Station, which has the Northern and Victoria lines, and many buses to connect you with the rest of the tube system, as well as railway services to other parts of England. In addition there are so many walking distance places you can visit! I went to King's Cross (~10 minutes), Gordon Square, if you are interested in seeing where Virginia Wolf and other writers from the Bloomsbury Group lived (~5 minutes), The British Museum (~12 minutes), Regent's Park (~25 minutes), and I am sure many more I did not have time to explore! James and Akbar also allowed me to use the kitchen which was great because I was able to visit a nearby, and very well stocked Waitrose supermarket, and buy ingredients to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, something to consider if you are traveling within a budget or want to eat healthy during your trip. I was also able to use the washer and dryer, great because I was traveling around England and not all places have this commodity. James and Akbar are very accommodating, laid-back, friendly, generous, and warm hosts. If I ever return to London I hope to stay with them and I would highly recommend their home to all my loved ones. You should not let the opportunity to stay with them pass you by!

James and Akbar are the best hots I've ever had. They were super accommodating and went out of their way to give me sight seeing recommendations for the 24 hours I had in London. They are incredibly kind and open and made me feel more like family than a random Airbnb guest. The apartment itself is perfectly located near Euston station and King's Cross (walking distance to both) and has incredible views of the city (the pictures do not do the view justice - just wait and see for yourself!). The apartment is decorated with intention and is very clean and spacious. All in all, this was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had!

James User ProfileJames is a superhost.

I'm James, I live with my partner and we work in the film industry.

We began hosting over five years ago and we've made some wonderful international friends through Airbnb. We both love to meet new and interesting people!

We both have strong interests in the arts, culture and travel, including art house cinema. We also enjoy hiking, biking and skiing as frequently as possible.

We always use Airbnb when we travel, which helps us to be the best hosts we can. We really enjoy providing a high quality, well-equipped and comfortable environment for our guests and having lived in Bloomsbury for many years we have a wealth of local knowledge and recommendations for you!

Our home is a spacious two bedroom apartment and our guests will enjoy a very private single bedroom in beautiful, historic Bloomsbury. It's a newly decorated room with single bed, flat screen TV, WIFI, a desk with leather chair, a large bookcase and a built-in double wardrobe. Fresh towels & bedding are always provided as standard.

Thank you for reading about us; we really hope to welcome you to our home soon and we look forward to sharing our wonderful city with you!
