About This Listing
Rockville House is a quiet B & B located in the heart of historic Cashel, the City of Kings. This well-kept home is conveniently located less than a five minute walk from the famous Rock of Cashel, an ancient fortress that was once the seat of Munster.
Our B & B has been operating for three generations. We take great pride in offering immaculate ensuite rooms and a fresh cooked Irish breakfast in a lovely antique-laden dining room. Secure parking and Internet wi-fi is available on site. Large groups can be accommodated. Local shops, restaurants and the tourist centre are within a few minutes walking distance.
A warm Irish welcome awaits you in one of the most picturesque towns on the Emerald Isle. Enjoy the hospitality of your host, Patrick, who will entertain you with stories and good ":craic" (the Irish word for good fun!) We offer the most competitive rates in the area. Compare and see! We invite you to join us by the fire at Rockville House and experience why we love what we do.
Patrick was a lovely host and his house was perfect for our family. Everything was close by and we had a great time at Cashel. Enjoyed Patrick's Irish humour
We had an excellent stay with Patrick and his family. He is an absolute character and we loved his quirky Irish humour.
The dining room was great for meeting other guests from around the world and was the place for a hardy breakfast.
The location is fantastic, easy walking distance to the castle and pubs in town.
Unfortunately we had no WiFi in our room but were able to get access in the dining room.
Overall, we were very happy with our Airbnb experience.
Perfectly situated for a walk into town or up to the Rock of Cashel, this is a great wee treasure. Very clean and tiny run by the wonderful Patrick.
Great place and perfect location. Nice room with a personal bathroom. Great Irish breakfast as well. Patrick is a great host and will stay with him again.
Patrick was the ultimate host! A lovely, clean, and very professional B & B, in a perfect location to visit The Rock (you can see it from Patrick's) or visit fun pubs in the city centre. I truly appreciated the off-street parking, too. And breakfast was a feast!
Only positive thoughts come to my mind when thinking about Patrick, he is a very good host, full of enthusiasm and humour.
The room was very nice, big and clean, bed comfortable.
The house is literally few steps away from the castle, and main Street of Cashel is only minutes away walking as well.
On behalf of all my family, I highly recommend this BnB.
Thank you Patrick!
Patrick is welcoming and has a good sense of humor. Breakfast is plentiful and very tasty and he kindly took great care of dairy and gluten issues. Other guests were delightful breakfast companions. Our room was decent size for two; walls are thin but the bed was comfy. A neighbor's barking dog was very annoying - not sure how that can be solved. The B&B is in a great location for walking anywhere in Cashel, especially to the Rock, a must-do. Patrick isn't a big emailer so find other ways to communicate!

About the Host, Patrick
I'm a local fellow who has helped my family operate our B&B for over two decades. Having been born and reared in Cashel, I know the area well. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and sharing this lovely part of Ireland with them.
Overall, I am easygoing and best of all, go for the craic, as we say--having fun! I can be serious, but also appreciate making people laugh. Operating a B & B allows me to unleash my Irish humor on guests who may have only been expecting a clean room and hot breakfast! I'd like to think that my guests leave Cashel with a little more than they bargained for -- some authentic Irish hospitality and a few smiles to carry them along their journey.
