The Space

Rockville House is a quiet B & B located in the heart of historic Cashel, the City of Kings. This well-kept home is conveniently located less than a five minute walk from the famous Rock of Cashel, an ancient fortress that was once the seat of Munster.

Our B & B has been operating for three generations. We take great pride in offering immaculate ensuite rooms and a fresh cooked Irish breakfast in a lovely antique-laden dining room. Secure parking and Internet wi-fi is available on site. Large groups can be accommodated. Local shops, restaurants and the tourist centre are within a few minutes walking distance.

A warm Irish welcome awaits you in one of the most picturesque towns on the Emerald Isle. Enjoy the hospitality of your host, Patrick, who will entertain you with stories and good ":craic" (the Irish word for good fun!) We offer the most competitive rates in the area. Compare and see! We invite you to join us by the fire at Rockville House and experience why we love what we do.

  • The experience with Patrick was great! He was welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was filling and yummy. The location was very good but the name on the sign at the B&B didn't match what was listed on airbnb - it could have been easier to find.

  • Simple accommodations in a convenient location. When we arrived at the B&B, we were warmly greeted by our host, Patrick, who showed us our room. The en-suite room was clean and tidy. After checking in, we walked through the town of Cashel and visited the Rock of Cashel. The real advantage of this B&B is its close location to the Rock of Cashel. It is an easy five minute stroll from the front gate of the B&B to the site. It is also easy to walk to a number of shops, pubs, and restaurants from the B&B. We also greatly appreciated the parking available at the rear of the B&B. Patrick served a full Irish breakfast in the morning, which was filling and delicious. This is a good option if you are looking for a no-frills B&B with a great location.

  • Patrick is a nice and funny guy. The B&B is easy to find in Cashel. The room was nice, clean, calm, and comfy, located in the back of the house.
Patrick recommended us a good restaurant, where we got a real good dinner.
In the morning Patrick prepared for us a big Irish breakfast, with a glass of extra orange juice, for those who do not drink tea/coffee. Nice place to stay with a funny host. Perfect if you like to visit the Rock of Cashel, just a five minute walk.

  • Patrick is a very accommodating host. He prepared a mean Irish breakfast and also acquainted us with fun local vocabulary. Good stuff!

  • Patrick was a great host. He has a wonderful sense of humor and is very accommodating. The room was clean and Patrick provided a really good breakfast and was always willing to provide a pot of tea. Cashel is a lovely town and there is plenty of sight-seeing close by.

  • We loved staying with Patrick. He had a quick whit and a great sense of humor. His home is beautiful, the beds were nice, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was lovely. It was a 5 minute walk to the rock of Cashel. If you'd like a great place to stay, this is the place.

About
I'm a local fellow who has helped my family operate our B&B for over two decades. Having been born and reared in Cashel, I know the area well. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and sharing this lovely part of Ireland with them. Overall, I am easygoing and best of all, go for the craic, as we say--having fun! I can be serious, but also appreciate making people laugh. Operating a B & B allows me to unleash my Irish humor on guests who may have only been expecting a clean room and hot breakfast! I'd like to think that my guests leave Cashel with a little more than they bargained for -- some authentic Irish hospitality and a few smiles to carry them along their journey.
