The area has an abundance of historical sites .We have an indepth knowledge of the area and will be delighted to help you with your itinerary.
There are four pubs in the village and two supermarkets.
Our guests will have access to our sitting room with television. They will also have access to our garden and are welcome to use the kitchen to make a snack etc. In other words a home from home,

Marian and Kevin were marvelous. Made us feel right at home instantly. Marian's homemade bread was literally, I mean that -- literally -- the best I've ever had. The heated mattress was sooooo appreciated! We laughed and visited and laughed some more. They were so knowledgeable about Irish history and what to see.
This was our favorite place in Ireland! Marian and Kevin were so friendly and funny it felt like we were staying with family. The location is excellent. You feel like you are in real Ireland, not tourist Ireland. Homemade scones, brown bread and funny jokes... Why would anyone stay in a hotel??
Marian and Kevin were superb hosts. They are very warm welcoming people, baking fresh breads and offering tea on our arrival. They arranged for our hope to see border collies and took us there, along with a tour of the Ashburn? castle, Cong, and their small town. Their warm peat fire spoke to me of how friendly Ireland is. We are very grateful for our time with them, and think it makes a great first stop. They have a a great route to see the beauty of Connemare. There place is very convenient to getting to Clifden, Leenane, Westport,
and the castle and monastery near there.
You'll enjoy them and their accommodations immensely.
Marion and Kevin are lovely, helpful hosts, whose hospitality really impressed us. Not only did they make us feel at home and part of their family, but also offered valuable advice on everything concerning our trip. We really enjoyed the lively and interesting conversations with both of them. They recommended trips and hiking tours, took us to the local pub and even taught us a little Gaelic. The house is really nice and commfortable. The breakfast (esp. Marian´s freshly baked scones) is delicious. We really hope to come back one day.
This was the most sincere and authentic stay we had. Marian and her husband welcomed us as if we were members of their family or so we felt.
They always took time to talk with us, shared their social, family life and hobbies, let us use their kitchen for our dinners, baked homemade scones and bread. My children (17 and 12) felt at ease with both of them. They were very fond of their cats.
