This brand new private room with a private entrance is located in a unique spot, right under the mountains, below a waterfall and with a glacier on one side.

Less than a 10 minutes drive from Glacier lagoon and the diamond beach, this rural county has been one of the most isolated areas in Iceland, but now offers many activities and is the perfect location for exploring the South coast.

The room is very bright and includes a private bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and a queen size bed.

The space
Our brand new room has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The bed can either be prepared as a double bed or two single beds.

The room does not come with a kitchen, cooking facilities or any shared common areas.

Guest access
You will have access to your private room via a private entrance from the outside.

Please note that we do not have any staff on site.

During your stay
A code will be sent to you for the door of the room. To open the door, press on the screen on the handle to activate it, put the code in and press # to unlock the door.

Other things to note
The next grocery store is 70km away and please be aware that you won't have access to a kitchen or any cooking facilities. There is a small refrigerator in your room where you can store some goods but we do not provide tableware.

Glacier Lagoon Hotel is very close by where you can reserve a table for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

With the biggest glacier in Europe practically in your garden, our home is in a unique location for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Hike up to the waterfall behind the house and enjoy a beautiful sunset with a panoramic view of the ocean. Or stargaze outside our house while watching the northern lights in the winter!

The area offers so many enjoyable experiences from the glacier lagoon, geothermal hot tubs, hiking, the best brewery/restaurant in the South of Iceland and Þórbergssetur, a museum and cultural center, devoted to Þórbergur's work, only 2 km east of Reynivellir. We highly recommend touring the museum.

You literally can't get bored in the area and if you want to go on tours there are ice-caving tours available, kayaking on a glacier lagoon and even a petting zoo where the main star is a world famous goat, well known for its performance in Hollywood movies!
