Roudy, my host was more than perfect. He is very generous and welcoming, and really goes out of his way to help. The room is extremely spacious, very clean and, the bathroom is more than adequate, and Roudy provides his guests with everything including fresh towels. Roudy also allowed me to use his beautiful and fully equipped kitchen, his washing machine and, he even asked me to help myself to anything in the kitchen like coffee, tea...etc.
All in all, Roudy made my stay a very pleasant one and will stay at his place every time I decide to visit Cairo (if it is available of course).
Another important factor is the location of the apartment. It is located on a very quiet street, yet two minutes' walk to coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and, banks, which is a combination that is very hard to find in a busy city like Cairo.
Maadi is a beautiful neighborhood. It is full of nature, on every street are trees and plants. The people are friendly.
If you searching for a nice calm place too stay in Caïro. Don't hesitate, Mourad is a very friendly host. He knows a lot places and everything you need too know about the area.
His home is located in a right position, you can find everything around it that provide all your needs.
I had a great experience during my vacation in Maadi. The best so far in my young lifetime. I've seen and meet wonderful people, visited beautiful places, eye openers all around me. All the new exciting experiences with the consious memories that I have now from Egypt. I've visited ancient buildings and places.
It wouldn't be the same without staying at Mourad his place. I am thankful and uplifted.
The most humble, sincere, understanding and welcoming host you are likely to come across. Gracious and hospitable. I truly felt at home with Mourad. Accommodation furbished and maintained to the highest standard. I would stay again in the future (if I am allowed to) and would highly recommend Mourad to every one. Can not thank him enough.
If you find this listing do not hesitate to book it. Mourad is an excellent host. He even helped us find transportation from the Airport and to the pyramids. The place is amazing, spacious and clean. It is located in a very good neighborhood. You have to try the food from the Lebanese restaurant located next to Subway. The food is amazing. Overall this place highly great.
Wow - Roudy is awesome. From the first night we came, he was welcoming and friendly. He invited us to come out to dinner with him and was overall ridiculously willing to answer questions and give advice while we were in Cairo. He was the one who suggested we use Uber for getting around, which was great because sometimes you just DON'T want to deal with a taxi driver. Plus, Uber cars have seat belts and air conditioning! Anyways, Roudy took us out with his friends and we had a great time socializing with "real live Egyptians." I felt like he wasn't just a host - he was a friend, which is pretty priceless when you're in an intimidating new place.
The apartment was great as well. Access to a kitchen was nice, and Roudy shared his stash of bottled water (which is essential in a place like Cario). The room was large, clean, and nicely decorated. Roudy provided a bunch of menus from local restaurants so we could order in or go out whenever we wanted. I loved having the curtains that blocked out light since our sleep schedule was a little wonky. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was great having our own bathroom - the only thing I didn't like was that the shower was nooot ideal. It could be an Egypt thing, but there were no sides, so we were always getting water everywhere, and it was very small. But besides that, this was the absolute ideal place to stay during our place in Cairo. Oh yeah, and the location is GREAT.
Stay with Mourad. He is an extremely gracious host and a fantastic person. While in his flat, he treated me as a good friend. This kindness was an incredible comfort to me as a young traveler in an unfamiliar country. Mourad helped make my experience in Cairo, and Egypt as a whole, one of the best experiences in my life.
Mourad is certainly the host with the most. As soon as we stepped into his beautiful apartment we immediately felt at home. The description is very accurate but the bed is actually bigger than it looks. The location of his place is also fantastic, away from the chaos of Cairo, he lives in a charming and quiet neighbourhood that has easy links into the centre of Cairo. We took the metro into the city which cost us just 10 Egyptian pounds = 10 pence! There are also taxis everywhere.
As for Mourad himself, we absolutely loved his company. He's a super great guy and made sure we had all the information we needed to get the most out of our visit to Cairo. He's very interesting and I really wish we'd had more time to get to know him better. I'm certain we'll be back again soon and I'm already looking forward to spending more time at his place.
He receives our highest recommendation.
