Private island cabin! Enjoy the beauty of Big Birch fishing, boating, eagle sighting, and nature on this 5 acre island located on the sandbar on Big Birch Lake in Grey Eagle, MN (only 100 miles from Minneapolis/St Paul metro). This beautiful cabin has been fully updated, including a brand new bathroom and running water! Beautiful views, fire pit, rolling hills, nature walks in tree canopy trails, fishing, all on your own island. Stunning!!!

The space
Small and quaint (roughly 750 square feet) but just enough space to enjoy the cozy views from inside. There are 2 bedrooms total and the cabin has been updated from top to bottom including our newest addition, indoor plumbing! Enjoy the park exclusiveness of your own island and the small amenities of a hot shower and indoor sink! Fully functional bathroom and kitchen, hurray! We were almost fully booked in summer 2021 and this will be huge for so many of our wonderful guests!
Upon arrival, we will instruct guests where to park. For $150/day you may use our pontoon otherwise we do have a fishing boat on the island. Guests can walk out to the island on the narrow strip of land that connects the island to the mainland or if you have reserved the boat, you can take the boat around.
Once in the island, you can enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of nature! There are bald eagles that perch in the tree tops, loons calling, and serene water sounds as you Are fully surrounded by the beautiful Big Birch Lake. Upon booking, detailed info will be sent out regarding what to pack and how to get there.

Located just across the lake, the newly renovated Rock Tavern is the perfect spot to park your boat and enjoy dinner overlooking the water. Their walleye taco is excellent and they have an excellent local beer selection.
