Very old house recently rebuild in modern style. Light, space, charm and swimming pool in our sunny area for unforgettable holidays

The space

Old barn from the XVIIth century renovated in 2006 in a contemporary style. Large rooms, bright, high ceilings. The house is located at the entrance to the old village, very quiet, 5 minutes drive from Uzes.
On the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms:
Nico and Sarah's room: one large double bed with private bathroom (shower).
Amélie's room: on sofa (large double bed), and one double bed on the mezzanine. (Huge windows, high ceilings curtains like in a theater).
Alice and Lilah's room: one double bed and one single bed in the mezzanine. (It's my daughters room)
The library with a couch (double bed also). It's an open space that can be private with curtains.
One office.
A bathroom with a tubath.
On the ground floor: A big open kitchen well furnished. A living room with piano, tv, a big table, all open on a big terrace that have a view on the swimming pool and the garden.
Wireless internet connection.
We are very well located to visit the roman bridge "Le Pont du Gard", Arles, avignon, the Camargue, the Cevennes, the Provence, Nîmes...
The village is very quiet, 200 people leave there, there is no shop or cafe, but at 2 k you will find everything. So you really need a car.
I will indicate you at your arrival my favorites bakeries, restaurants or cafe.
Many places to visit, walking swimming, market. Villages and countryside are beautiful and the weather is so sunny!

We have two independents cats living there "Plume and Pongo".

The house is lovely, big open space with plenty of room to relax, eat together, and enjoy your holiday. Sarah was punctual and the amenities were as described. There are three cats sharing the house, and they can be a little noisy in the morning wanting to go out. There is a nice swimming pool in the garden, with plenty of shade. Unlike my prior Airbnb experiences, the owners seem a little stressed about having guests in their place, and this made the experience a little less welcoming than it could have been. But it is a beautiful house, one of the most beautiful we have rented in France.

Wow! What an incredibly home. We can't thank Sarah enough for hosting us in this beautiful villa. The architecture of the home combined with the luxury interior design with careful consideration for all the little details made our stay so memorable. We really couldn't have asked for much more. I loved it so much I chose to stay home and relax a couple of days (doing yoga whilst gazing into the French countryside) rather than going out and exploring. Sarah made us all feel incredibly welcome and is obviously a natural host. She was always responsive and provided amazing recommendations for places to go and see such as local beaches and wineries. The location is a beautiful little town south of Uzes and around 45 minutes drive from Avignon (a must see). You will need a car to truly see the south if France so this was fine for us. We would all definitely stay here again!

Good location to base yourself for a week or more. Very close to Uzes, roughly an hour to Avignon and Nimes and other places of interest. TV was not working properly throughout our stay and was complicated to fix. Dvd was broken and Netflix/ wii hard to access if you spoke no French. Communication with Sarah was good and she responded promptly. Check in and out times were slightly inflexible. The house could have been cleaned up more we felt. Outdoor areas were not swept and we had to do this outselves in order to use the outdoor dining. Guide book with local restaurants and markets provided which was helpful. Overall ok but not great for the price we paid.

Response from Sarah:

Sarah was absolutely wonderful - from the first communication, to the booking, pre-arrival info, meeting at the property, checking that we were happy, restaurant and activity suggestions through to our farewell we could not have asked for a better host. The listing gave a thorough and accurate description of the house, it was clean and spacious, and had a lovely feeling of home. The pool was an absolute must in the heat of July, it too was clean and ready to use. We were very happy with the location, close enough to Uzes for evening dining, easy access to the boulangerie and supermarket, and great for day trips to Arles and Les Baux. We loved our time here and would to return!

The most amazing and best accommodation I stayed in! The house is stunning really well equipped and spacious. Very nice furnishings throughout, amazing lighting at night, lovely pool and a kitchen that is fitted like at home. One can cook or do very nice barbecues. Very good location to all the cities in the area be it Uzes, Nimes, Avignon or Arles or the Camargue... Definitely coming again!
