Newly renovated apartment with 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms and a an open plan living and kitchen. Only available for monthly rental. No short stay.
Morning sun shines into the kitchen and lounge area. South facing. Located at the back building (hinter-hof). Therefore really quiet at night. Located on the 2nd floor, (not suited for disabled persons).
Living space 94 sqm, 2 spacious bedrooms, Bedroom 1 with Double bed en-suite with bath. Bedroom 2 with 2 x 3/4 single beds and a Karlstadt double sofabed. Open plan lounge with huge Double Sofa Bed. Dinning room leading to the kitchen with open plan. Sleeps up to 8 persons maximum.
All rooms are fully equipped. Towels and linen are all provided.
Full free WIFI. Towels and Linen included in the price. Fully equipped kitchen, Smart TV with DVD 3 D and Blue-Ray player. Radio. Ipod station. Washing machine and dryer. Baby cot. High Chair.
There will be items such as spices and oil, washing detergent etc,. available for your emergency use. Do replace what you have used - much appreciated.
There is a piano. This is a lovely Yamaha U1 upright piano with Silent system built in. To enable silence system, simply suppressed the middle pedal to the left. Enjoy playing, but please remember to use the silent system for after 10pm.
Interaction with guests
Ms Elva is taking care of the apartment while I'm away. She will look after all your needs and checking you in and out. Inform Elva well in advanced should you require special or need additional towels or extra pillows .....
Vibes and full of lovely cafes and bistros and boutiques with hand crafted items and Specialty food stores. I particularly like the little cafe just right of the apartment downstairs. The park right at the front of the apartment is great for summer picnic and people spotting. A fantastic children's playground. Pleasant start with a nice cup of coffee and some quiche, or full breakfast with variety of cheese selections.
Bike rental is available at the square of Helmholtz. Central, lively, yet quiet at night! The apartment is located Directly at Helmholtz Platz, lush green park right in the middle of Berlin – wonderful atmosphere. Cultural highlights of the Eastern part of Berlin. The most trendy area of the eastern part of Berlin. Individual boutiques offering Berliner designers fashion, art galleries, theater, cafes, restaurants, bistros. Fresh bakeries. On weekends, the streets are lined with Eco, bio green market stalls offering fresh cheeses, fruits and vegetables and lovely cakes selections, fresh directly from the farm. Antiquated shops passed down from generations! Endless walking pleasure to discover this place and its surrounding areas. The largest and the most popular flea-market - Mauerpark is only 10 minutes walking distance away.

Public transport is fantastic all within walking distance. Parking Disc is available for use for parking on the streets in the surrounding area (advise - in Berlin, having a car is more of a burden than convenience. If you can help it, use public transportation, I promise you will appreciate the city even more).
Getting to the airport simply via public transport or taxi cost only approx. 22 euros to Tegel (TXL) airport. To Schonefeld (SFX) airport, simply take the S-Bahn at Prenslauer Allee S-Bahn station, S9 - straight to the airport.
Superb 24 hours public transport. Only 3 U-Bahn stations from Alexanderplatz. U-2, M2, M10, S-Bahn stops at either Schonehauser Allee or Prenzlauer Allee; and Metro Bus connect to this area. 15 minutes bicycle ride to the Mitte.
Other things to note
Should you be checking in quite late in the evening, the apartment is at the back of the building. Pulling suitcases can be quite noisy. If possible, try carrying your suitcases instead of pulling your suitcases. This way, our neighbors will be much happier :)).
Strictly no smoking in the apartment and no pets please! WIFI code provided on checking in. You are welcome to leave your books to share with other guests and leftovers can be specified to leave behind for new guests or for Elva to take with.
Do email us immediately should you left some items behind which you wish us to send it back. Postage at own cost.
Please note: a new rule on non -Business travelers. 5% city tax applicable on the rental amount payable on arrival. Tax ID:StNr:
Strictly NO SMOKING! No smoking too within the apartment block (you may smoke outside at the front door, where there are a number of cafes with ashtrays etc,.
There may be a cleaning charge if we need to air the apartment and washed down due to residue of smoke found in the apartment.
Should you check in late at night, please try to carry your suitcase to avoid the rather loud echo at night on rolling wheels. We have babies in the block and mothers are not very pleased.....
No pets please as we wish to allow persons with allergies a clean and fresh apartment as promised.
Do please replace all items used in the kitchen or cleaning so that we are not run out of emergency essentials - which I am sure you appreciate that when you needed them without having to run out to get some basic convenience :-)). However should there be no such emergency items available for your use, do inform me immediately and I shall do my best to replenish the items if possible.

I have chosen Berlin because it is vibrant, full of energy, very individual, still embrace a rather hedonistic approach to life considering it is one of the main capital cities of Europe. The sub-culture, the art-scene- poor but sexy, a village feel yet with all the fantastic facilities that a city can offer. Most of all, Berlin changes its face with every moving second, yet, Berlin remains Berlin deep at heart. Where better place than the heart of the former Eastern Part of Berlin, Prenslauerberg? East West fusion manifests itself when you least expect. Mostly subtle but from time to time, as plain as the nose on one's face. The sub-culture is usually only perceivable after a fair stay in Berlin.
