Living Venice has never been more simple: a comfortable room easily accessible arriving by plane or train, close to the attractions of the city but in an authentic neighborhood off the beaten track.
Enjoy the typical Venetian life!
The double bedroom is part of a flat composed by living room, kitchenette and bathroom. The flat has all the facilities (internet wi-fi, satellite tv, dvd player, ironing facilities, extra bed). The flat represents a confortable and neat accomodation for your vacations. Ideal for weekend. The location is strategic: well connected to Lido (venetian beaches) and the main island (Murano, Burano..), to the Marco Polo Airport (direct waterbus), to train and bus station. It is 10 minutes of walk from Saint Mark Square and Rialto's bridge.
The apartment is clean and tidy, has shared a small bathroom and is heated during the winter by a very efficient stove that keeps all hot environments.
In the immediate vicinity there are many services and shops (supermarket, bars, restaurants, cinema, theater, ice cream parlors, libraries, etc..)
The apartment has a spacious living room with kitchenette where you can cook, eat, relax on the sofa and easy chair listening to music or reading a good book. This common space is available and is very comfortable and relaxing after a long walk around the streets of Venice.
In addition to the room and the bathroom, guests will have free access to the kitchen and the living room, where you can rest after long walks around the city. The kitchen is equipped to prepare any kind of meal. There are also free wifi, tv, washing machine and ironing facilities available.
Sometimes for work I can not always be present, but also at distance I am always available by email and phone and I do my best to make your stay comfortable and special, giving local suggestions about restaurants, bars and places to visit.
When I am not present in the other room there may be other guests of Airbnb, but the two rooms are well separated to give guests all the necessary privacy.
Cannaregio is a typical district crossed by tourists but mainly inhabited by the Venetians. In these streets you can breath the atmosphere of the real Venetian life, admiring the hidden masterpieces that you will not find in guidebooks!
The apartment is located 50 meters from the water bus stop Fondamenta Nove, which provides a connection every 10 minutes to the train station Venice Saint Lucia, with the lines 5.1 and 4.1 (from station 5.2 and 4.2).
A 5 minute walk to the stop of Alilaguna blue line which connects directly to the Marco Polo airport in 30 minutes.
With the water bus you can easily reach the beaches of Lido and the main islands (Murano, Burano and Torcello).
On foot you can reach all the main attractions of the city and the Biennale.

The location of the place was very convenient. Walking distance to San Marco square and only a short ride to the mainland. We greatly enjoyed our stay!
This accommodation was well within my budget. The arrangements were made in order and that we've really enjoyed our stay! Leonardo was very hospitable despite being out of town.
Couple of things could be improved on would be more lighting in the bathroom as well as changing a new shower head. Location was great but feels a little unsafe as the roads leading to the apartment are pretty dimly lit. So be careful if you're returning at about 9pm or later.
Sunrise was perfect and we managed to catch it on 2 days right at the vaporetto station. Love the stay in Venice!
The photos show what the apartment is really like. Not a lot of sun coming in the windows but that is probably typical of Venician apartments. The location of the apartment is just in front of a waterbus (vaporetto) station so it was easy to get around Venice and the islands.Picking up the keys at a nearby restaurant was easy too. The apartment is basic but the price was right. The kitchen is well equipped. We knew we were going to share it with a couple from Buenos Aires and they turned out to be delightful and fun to share with.
flat is well located, well equipped, the building is a bit shabby and that may scare some guests upon their arrival, but that is part of Venice Culture. Leonardo was not there but I spoke to him over the phone every time I called him. The flat is very convenient for anyone who plans to visit Burano, Murano and slo to go to the airport as the Vaporetto station is a few meters away. It is located in a calm street, good to sleep in it, no noise. Shame the place has one bathroom only when there are two bedrooms who can take two guests at the same time.. But it is a place I 'd recommend for sure.
Leonardo's house is in a wonderful place. The room is lovely. Leonardo was not there when we went but he took care of everything when we went through a charwoman.
The apartment was basic -- think student accommodation. Good enough location, with a rustic feel to it, but a few simple issues could do with being sorted out. The door to the bedroom makes a loud noise when opened or closed, and should be fixed. The shower room is very small and has a very old shower-head which needs replacing. The lighting in the main bedroom is very dark -- more lights please. And finally, the towels and bedsheets are damp. It's horrible having a shower and then using a damp-smelling towel to dry yourself. These are all simple fixes, Leonardo. Especially a new shower-head. I would not recommend this place.
Walter and his family were great! We didn't spend much time at the house because of Oktoberfest-- but we spent three nights and there was plenty of room for 2, including instant coffee, a bottle of water, towels, etc. Although the time spent in the house was limited- I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay close to the city (walk, bus, and metro- 20 mins) then this is a perfect place! Thank you-- danke, Richter family!
We really enjoyed our time in Venice - as wanderers, it was nice to be situated away from touristy parts of the city (check out the charming print shop that is really close by - (website hidden) "Gianni Basso, stampatore"). At night, the walk back (if you choose not to use the vaporetto) is quiet, which is nice, but also made me a bit nervous. Thankfully, it's totally safe and the paths are well lit. If you are under 30, go for the Rolling Venice card - saves you \'80 on a 3-day ACTV pass (which includes the vaporetti!) - very helpful, especially since there's a stop literally around the corner. The shower didn't feel the cleanest and the bathroom was a bit small, but the room and living areas were comfortable. Overall, a pleasant stay!
Leonardo was a great host! He happened to be out of town when we visited, but he was quick to respond to emails if we had any questions. Great location!
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. It's located in a quiet small street. It is next to a waterbus station so you can get everywhere quite fast. It is also a nice walk from his apartment to the city center. Leonardo wasn't at home during our stay but he was very helpful and responded really fast via email. He recommended us great restaurants. Thanks!
