Sunny warm house with lots of light and a couple of black cats within walking distance to beaches, shops, and restaurants. Your private room has a queen bed and closet and there is a mini fridge for your use. Lots of space inside and out to relax.
Less than 1-1/2 miles to Opal Cliffs in Pleasure Point and the Capitola wharf. Less than a 10 minute walk to Trader Joes, Whole Foods, the Capitola Mall, tennis courts, the $25 an hour Chinese massage place, $10 pedicure and manicure place, Dharma's vegetarian restaurant, and the Capitol Recreation Center. It's about a 10 minute drive to downtown and a few minutes more to the boardwalk.
You have a private room, semi private bathroom, living room, and yard. There is a toaster oven, microwave, and a mini fridge in the closet. There are two living rooms in the house so you can sit undisturbed somewhere!
Interaction with Guests
We aren't home much and can leave you in peace or help you discover the joys of Santa Cruz.
Our neighborhood has everything. It has quiet back streets and is quite close to lots of shops.
The bus is about a 5 minute walk, (at the mall), and there is parking in front of the house if you have a car. We have an undercover bike shelter if you bring your bike.
Other Things to Note
We have two cats!
This is a quiet neighborhood and we would love to keep it that way. We are not 420 friendly, (sorry!) and there is no smoking of anything in the house. This is for the guest or guests staying only and we do not want to host your graduation party, (or whatever). We do want you to be happy though so please let us know of any special requests.
I only stayed at Cindy's place for one night over the Valentine's Day weekend but she was a great host: friendly, informative and very responsive when it comes to communication. She even got a Valentine's day balloon in the room for me and my gf - how sweet and thoughtful of her! The house is comfy with easy access to Santa Cruz downtown and freeways. I would recommend Cindy's place anytime!
Always a pleasure! This was my third time staying with Cindy. Her house makes working in Santa Cruz feel like home.
Cindy was a gracious hostess and her room was just perfect for my short stay in Santa Cruz. Central neighborhood close to shops and freeway and a warm household experience. I recommend it!
We had a very pleasant one night stay at Cindy's home in Capitola, CA. This was our first time in the area and she was most helpful in directing us to explore the town and environs.
The room was modest, but very comfortable. There was a small frig, microwave and toaster oven available for our use. The bathroom, near the room was exclusively for our use was quite clean and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable, and we both got a GREAT night sleep.
We enjoyed sitting around chatting with Cindy and sharing stories with each other about our lives. We found that we had common interests in art and creativity. Cindy is very outgoing and friendly, and a perfect host. She has had many guests at her home over the past year and offers a nice alternative to the very pricey tourist area in which she lives. It was a nice experience for us.
Lynne and Don Yansen,
Cindy is friendly, cheerful and a helpful host. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this airbnb. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, close to eats, shopping and a quick drive to Santa Cruz. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Cindy really welcomed me in her home like a good friend. The room was tidy and just what I expected. The neighborhood is great; quite near to the beach and shopping in Capitola. She had a special place in the back for my mountainbike but I could also keep it in my room if I wanted. There was a small fridge in the room, that was great!
I stay at Cindy's when work brings me to Santa Cruz. It's a great place to spend a few nights and spare myself the otherwise long commute. Cindy is friendly, available for recommendations, and keeps her guest rooms clean. I'll be back!
