We love meeting new people and especially people from other countries and places.
I love the fact that we love in a community. Just about all our neighbours are known to us. It is a very diverse neighbourhood and one would say it ranges from working class to young professionals. There are also quite a few students in the area. This neighbourhood attracts artists, journalist, architects and creative types.
We have one of the most beautiful inner city parks, Kingston Frost Park, just across the road from us. You will get one of the best views of Jozi from here
We are very well located. a quick ride on a TUK TUK will take you to the Rea Vaya bus stop. Uber works very well and is very cost effective. The Gautrain is at the Park Station and can also be easily and cheaply reached by taxi.
For the more adventurous you are welcome to use one of our bicycles.
The best way to get here form OR Tambo would be to get on the Gautrain and get out at Park Station or Rosebank. We are happy to do airport pickups and drop-offs at R300 a trip

Ashley & Sifiso were not only some of the best hosts, they are also just plain awesome people! They genuinely were concerned with the comfort of my stay and provided assistance in any way they were able to ensure that I got around the area safely and that I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Johannesburg. The day tour I took with Sifiso was great and quite insightful, while the jazz concert I saw with Ashley and her friend was equally amazing! I would without hesitation recommend Ashley & Sifiso's accommodations to anyone visiting Johannesburg. Thanks so much you two!
I stayed in Ashley and Sifiso's home for 3nights, as it's name described, it was indeed comfy and warm. Everyone in the home was so welcoming, I had a great time learning about South Africa, Ashley although she was away when I arrive, she hasn't hesitate to check on me to make sure I am doing well. Sifiso did a great job helping me with everything a foreigner need. Not forgetting to mention the awesome Soweto tour with Sifiso! Thank you for having me in your home Ashley and Sofiso, hope I'll be ablr to return to Joburg soon!
I enjoyed my time staying in this private studio. I was sick the entire weekend, but Ashley was an attentive, thoughtful host. Communication was prompt and clear, and she is a very flexible host. The space is good enough for two, but fits one perfectly. It's warm (the bed has an electric blanket and there's a panel heater) and comfortable. The shower is spacious, too! Ashley provided towels. The place is close to some really good spots (44 Stanley, Braamfontein, Emmarentia Dam). Plus, there is safe parking behind the gates. You don't have to worry about privacy - it's private and in a lovely garden (I think it would be perfect in summer!). Lots of toilet paper, cupboard space and good natural light.
I'd definitely recommend this space and would stay here again.
I had a really nice time at Ashley and Sifiso' s place. The room is comfortable, nicely equipped and it has a pleasant garden. They were very kind hosts and made me feel very welcomed. The neighbourhood is well located and there is a park with a stunning view of northern J'oburg.
The little self-contained house with a walled garden -- all small, but comfortable -- was a joy. It's quiet, it's light, it's cosy and self-contained. Ashley & Sifiso's place is within walking distance of the High St and a well-supplied supermarket. Brixton is increasingly a secure environment where you feel okay to shop and walk in the local park. They can also access cabs and get you to and from the airport, and more central parts of town, if you wish. They are hospitable and helpful and it's great to have a little place at the edge of a quiet, happy family home. I'd recommend it to anyone.
The room was all encompassing with a heated bed, bathroom, hot shower and plenty of space, though compact. The studio was very clean, and had an inviting, cozy feel. Plenty of privacy. Outside of the studio is a welcoming and comfortable garden area. Perfect place to read, drink coffee, tea or just relax. Atop this, the host's husband leads excellent and informative cultural tours through the surrounding areas. Highly recommended if you want to see and experience the real Johannesburg...highly recommended. When I return I won't dare stay anywhere else.
