Bienvenido a Barcelona!
This is an unique opportunity to spend the holydays in the heart of Barcelona, as my friends Daniel, a young doctor, and Alexandra, a human resources manager [like Toby from The Office – only sexier] are taking their five month old Chihuahua to see Paris. Their apartment is situated at Barcelona's very core, in Plaza Cataluña, at the beginning of Las Ramblas, in virtually the last residential building remaining, as the area is dedicated now only to five star hotels [Le Meridien, Royal, Montecarlo, Rivoli etc]. This is THE location to stay in if you are visiting Barcelona. Once here you will see that you are in the midst of the daily humdrum of Barcelona living, in the famous Plaza Catalunya which is both the city centre and Barcelona's number one attraction, making it withing walking distance to practicaly everything from transportation to bars, restaurants, shopping malls, museums and other tourist attractions.
Why you´ll really experience a lovely trip:
This two bedroom apartment is an amazing place, as it´s designed in a modern Catalan style offering a great view over Las Ramblas, a 1.2 kilometer-long tree-lined pedestrian mall between Barri Gòtic and El Raval, and the most popular street in Barcelona with both tourists and locals alike. The apartment has super huge bedrooms, twice the size of normal Barcelona bedrooms. It has two really cozy and comfortable king size beds for hosting up to 4 persons, a dining table with 4 chairs, and plenty of space to store your things. The rooms are styled to be comfortable, peaceful and romantic.
Getting to the apartment couldn’t be easier with the shuttle bus leaving the airport every 5 minutes to “Plaza Cataluña”- the final stop. The apartment is roughly 30 seconds walk from Plaza Cataluña down Las Ramblas towards the sea – and has a Carefour supermarket downstairs – you won't even have to stop and ask for directions.
What we offer:
FREE Internet / WI-FI
A fully equipped kitchen with all modern appliances i.e. washing machine, fridge, cooker, coffee maker, and cooking utensils
Clean towels, sheets and a heating (most Barcelona apartments are cold, humid and dark during the winter – unlike ours)
There is also toilet paper, soap, detergent for your clothes
Supermarket [Carrefour express] downstairs

No noise after 10 PM!
Andrei's flat is a fantastic base for exploring Barcelona. It's right above La Rambla, but it's on the 4th floor so it's surprisingly quiet. We had no trouble sleeping. The apartment is well-appointed, with everything you need to cook, if that's what you want. Andrei's friend Ben was waiting for us when we arrived, and answered any questions we had. Andrei was very friendly in his correspondence with us, and he was flexible about check-in and check-out times to suit our flights. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
We felt very welcomed in this cozy apartment. The location is amazing and it had everything we could've asked for!
Perfect location! Well equipped kitchen and so many heating facilities! Love this place!
very nice people and very good comunication. the place was as described, clean and near to main streets,
Location, location. On Las Ramblas-in the heart of it. It is spacious for a 1 bedroom. There is a double bed instead of a couch in the living room which is uncomfortable to sit on to read. The apartment was clean and the kitchen appliance work well. There are no instructions as to where to dispose of trash/recycleables or to turn tv to English. It is not too noisy as it faces Las Ramblas. The heaters are not too effective as they do not have fans to circulate warm air. I emailed Andrei and asked about trash and got no response. There was not a phone number to reach Andrei. The apartment is adequate and would be light if the metal window covers could be raised for which there was no instructions. All in all, the elevator worked perfectly, someone should show you how to unlock the door and the apartmnent needs more blankets in the winter. There was only evidence of one air conditioner (in the living room) for the warmer months. The location is what sells the apartment but the lack of information about using washer, door lock, tv and information about the area would be helpful. I did feel safe there and the neighbors who spoke with me seemed nice. The building doesn't have a lot of audible noise in the apartment or the hall. The shower is walkin which makes it good for someone with limited lower body use.
