It is my mission to make your stay in my homes as fun filled and pleasurable as possible, should you need anything, I am only 3 streets away to help you out.

There are only 4 apartments in the building, one per floor so it's very original style loft with old polished wooden floors, tin pressed ceilings gallery style spotlights and two separate private large bedrooms that are divided by a T sectional constructed wall from old Vermont School Windows to escape for peace and quiet from your fellow guests.

The loft has been designed to be an open space! The bedrooms have separating walls, but do not have doors! They are open, so if you are looking for total privacy, this is not the place. It's more suitable for families and friends comfortable with sharing a common space ;-)

If you have any questions or special requests at all please do not hesitate to email me through AirBnB I will respond to you within an hour or two!

This is my home I have traveled all around the world collecting the antiques and artwork you see in the apartment. Smoking is not allowed, but you can smoke easily on the roof or downstairs.

Some Frequently Asked Questions:
1) Can you store your luggage on your last day?
If you need to just store your luggage whilst you enjoy your last day in NYC that is fine, again please just let me know in advance so I can provide this information to the cleaner who will be minding your bags whilst she is cleaning the apartment for the next arriving guests. All bags need to be collected by no later then 3pm so as not to disturb the new guests arriving at the apartment.

If you need to have your clothes washed, there is a terrific laundry service just 1 minute up the road on Broome street that will wash, dry and fold your clothes. You need to drop off your clothes before 9.30am and they'll be clean ready for you to pick up by 5pm.

3) Do you offer breakfast or delivered food to the apartment?
No, but there are many beautiful cafes in our area.

Soho from Wikipedia description:
SoHo is a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan, New York City, notable for being the location of many artists' lofts and art galleries, and also, more recently, for the wide variety of stores and shops ranging from trendy boutiques to outlets of upscale national and international chain stores. The area's history is an archetypal example of inner-city regeneration and gentrification, encompassing socio-economic, cultural, political and architectural developments.

Almost all of SoHo is included in the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District, which was designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1973, extended in 2010, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1978. It consists of 26 blocks and approximately 500 buildings, many of them incorporating cast iron architectural elements. The side streets in the district are notable for being paved with Belgian blocks.

The name "SoHo" refers to the area being "SOuth of HOuston (Street)". SoHo as a specifically-zoned neighborhood is bounded roughly by Houston Street on the northern side, Lafayette Street and Centre Street on the east, Canal Street on the south, and West Broadway on the west.

  • We had four people in the apartment for a week; I would recommend it for a couple days. The quirkiness of the decor is cool, but not practical if you are really using the space.

As some of the reviews have said, the bedrooms are not real bedrooms with doors - I would like to point out that there are no curtains either so the morning light can be very bright and the street is noisy. Bring earplugs and an eye mask if you are a light sleeper. Also, the toilet is terrible. It got clogged after 3 days of normal use, and there is a plunger next to it which shows that it happens often (Hunter actually admitted to that). We were without a bathroom for a couple days and this was a huge inconvenience. Hunter does not warn anyone about this, so if you do stay here make sure not to flush paper down the toilet and generally be very careful with it.

The upside is that Canal street station is so close, with a lot of subway lines running through. The coolest shops in Soho are also very close walking distance which is great. Also, the saddle chair is pretty comfortable.

    Response from Hunter:

Adriadne was a polite and respectful guest who took excellent care of my home. She was in good communication and asked all the relevant necessary questions of a guest staying for a week or more. Whilst she did experience problems with the toilet, and promptly asked for a plumber, I kindly explained to her as anyone knows who's lived in New York before knows that plumbing is not always well behaved. Our bathroom is only 4 years old, so it's not like we have an old bathroom. Once I described how to use the plunger exactly she was able to unclog the toilet ;-)

  • Hunter's appartment was perfect and she was a great host. Definitely plan on going back!

  • This apartment was so amazing. Not only was it in the most ideal location - walking distance to everything in Soho, Tribeca or the West Village - but it was designed so well and very comfortable. It's a full floor, so incredibly spacious for NY, with a modern, clean & roomy bathroom. I will absolutely stay here time and time again!

  • We throughly enjoyed our stay in Hunter's apartment. We found it great value for money. It's located only a few blocks from a couple of different subway lines. There were four of us and the space was perfect. We are family so it didn't bother us there are no doors on the two 'rooms'. If you're ok with that then you'll love the place. It's extremely clean, spacious and has a great kitchen. I was particularly impressed with Hunter's communication with us before and during the stay. The perfect host.

  • Hunter is a lovely host! Easy to communicate with. Apartment is situated at a very good location. Subway is easy walking distance. The place itself is very spacious & clean. We had 5 adults staying here comfortably. We will definitely come back here to stay when we visit NY again!

  • Great location, comfortable loft, fitted out with all the mod cons.. Would definitely stay there again. Hunter was a great help.

  • This place was a great location, safe and nice. I'm only rating lower BC it's not a 2 bedroom. It's a studio with a partition between two beds. It was disappointing since I specifically asked if there was privacy as we went with another couple and was our first trip without kids. I was told it was private and def a 2 bedroom. You can see in each other's rooms so had to warn each other when changing clothes etc. There is no privacy or doors or anything around bed. So if you're going alone it's great and Hunter was helpful. I just didn't appreciate that I wasn't told the whole truth beforehand. Clean, close to subway, fair price is all true.

    Response from Hunter:

Thanks Andraea for your review and honest feedback. Whilst I do hear what you have said, it is true that there are two separate bedrooms in the loft. They are divided by a large wall partition made up of old Vermont School style windows that are covered with the Asian Chinese blinds. So whilst you could not 'shut a door' at the entry way to each room, yes it is as you say open, I think it is misleading to say that you could not get changed into your clothes! If you expect total privacy and your a couple perhaps it best not to book an apartment to share.
