Great handy location, in the heart of Soho and bordering on Tribeca, on the Corner of Wooster and Canal Streets, just around the corner from The Soho Grand, you are close to New York's best restaurants, designer shopping, bars, lounges and art galleries.

It is my mission to make your stay in my homes as fun filled and pleasurable as possible, should you need anything, I am only 3 streets away to help you out.

There are only 4 apartments in the building, one per floor so it's very original style loft with old polished wooden floors, tin pressed ceilings gallery style spotlights and two separate private large bedrooms that are divided by a T sectional constructed wall from old Vermont School Windows to escape for peace and quiet from your fellow guests.

The loft has been designed to be an open space! The bedrooms have separating walls, but do not have doors! They are open, so if you are looking for total privacy, this is not the place. It's more suitable for families and friends comfortable with sharing a common space ;-)

If you have any questions or special requests at all please do not hesitate to email me through AirBnB I will respond to you within an hour or two!

This is my home I have traveled all around the world collecting the antiques and artwork you see in the apartment. Smoking is not allowed, but you can smoke easily on the roof or downstairs.

Some Frequently Asked Questions:
1) Can you store your luggage on your last day?
If you need to just store your luggage whilst you enjoy your last day in NYC that is fine, again please just let me know in advance so I can provide this information to the cleaner who will be minding your bags whilst she is cleaning the apartment for the next arriving guests. All bags need to be collected by no later then 3pm so as not to disturb the new guests arriving at the apartment.

2) Can we wash our clothes?
If you need to have your clothes washed, there is a terrific laundry service just 1 minute up the road on Broome street that will wash, dry and fold your clothes. You need to drop off your clothes before 9.30am and they'll be clean ready for you to pick up by 5pm.

3) Do you offer breakfast or delivered food to the apartment?
No, but there are many beautiful cafes in our area.

4) What restaurants do you recommend in the neighborhood?
Within a 3 city block radius of the apartment you have several excellent restaurants to choose from:
1) The Soho Grand Restaurant on West Broadway
2) Lucky Strike on Grand Street
3) Balthazar on Spring Street
4) Pera on Broome Street
5) The Mercer Kitchen on Prince Street
6) Little Prince on Prince Street

5) Check-In/Out
Check-in 3pm, check-out: 11am

6) Can we drop off luggage early or leave our luggage to collect later?
If you absolutely need to check in earlier then 3pm to drop off your heavy luggage if you're coming in from a long flight (say from Australia) I can accommodate this for you in most cases just ask me in advance to make sure I can be home to meet you!
I can meet you at the apartment usually between 11am - 2pm, you can leave your luggage with the cleaner who is cleaning the apartment then return back at 3pm to officially check in!

The Neighborhood

Soho is very safe, friendly, creative and vibrant neighborhood! Perfect for shopping, eating out, people watching, exploring art galleries, hanging out in cafes and just exploring a magical NYC neighborhood.

Getting around

Located on Wooster Street, the subway is very close the N,Q,R yellow line is moments away, as is the A,C blue line. Walking to Tribeca is also just across Canal street, down West Broadway, or walking up west broadway to Houston street is about a 10 minute walk.

Other Things to Note

Check-in: 3PM (I can be flexible, just arrange with me)
Check-out: 11am

Key collection: Keys and luggage drop off can be collected between 11am - 11.59pm day of your arrival. Please note that the cleaner will not finish cleaning til 4pm, so this is to only collect the keys and drop off heavy bags!

Parking: Free street parking before 8am and after 6pm in this neighborhood is usually not a problem on Wooster Street. Pay attention to the signage because there is street cleaning here on alternate days of the week. Read the signs carefully or else you will get a ticket. There is a parking garage on Wooster and Canal street, just around the corner from the loft, which is $30 a day.

Here are some things to know about the loft: This is a non smoking home, sorry smoking downstairs only on the street, or on the roof.

Key collection: The key collection instructions will be sent to you on AirBnB once your booking has been completed. Please always lock the door when you leave.

Queen Eurobed inflatable airbed instructions:
It is a super comfy airbed (well as comfy as an airbed can be, the sofa couch is way better), which we can set up in the living room as a 4th bed if needed.

  • Just back from a great family trip to NYC staying I'm Hunter's Soho apt. It was a perfect place from which to explore the city with subways in easy reach, and so comfortable to take a break during the day or to crash at night. Hunter could not have been more attentive, more friendly and accommodating as host, responding to every message speedily. The apt is large, airy, bright and beautifully furnished and it was so much more exciting to come home to a real NYC apartment, despite the stairs, than a sterile hotel room. We couldn't recommend our host or her home highly enough. Canal Street is a busy and noisy thoroughfare, but step back to the streets behind for some high end shopping, vintage stores and good bars and restaurants. And don't miss Everyman Espresso around the corner to meet the locals and chat with Sam the owner.

  • We had a wonderful 'sisters' weekend in Hunter's loft. The loft is large, comfy and convenient - not to mention delightfully quirky. A bit like staying in a gallery! We very much appreciated Hunter's eclectic style. If you feel strongly about the need for matching furniture and elevator service this loft is probably not for you. But would highly recommend it for a group of friends or family who want to enjoy the best of New York - and also have a place to come home to where they can chill out and have a good natter over a glass of wine or cup of tea. Hunter was extremely helpful and attentive - we had no problems but am confident that if we did she would be on hand to help.

  • We had a very beautiful stay in New York. The apartment is very pleasant and clean. We are a family of five (2 adults and 3 children 16, 14, 10) and it was confortable and spacious. It’s an ideal location - walking distance to everything in Soho, Tribeca or the West Village and subway is easy walking distance too. Hunter is a lovely host, she’s thoughtful and accommodating and it’s easy to communicate with.

  • We had four people in the apartment for a week; I would recommend it for a couple days. The quirkiness of the decor is cool, but not practical if you are really using the space.

As some of the reviews have said, the bedrooms are not real bedrooms with doors - I would like to point out that there are no curtains either so the morning light can be very bright and the street is noisy. Bring earplugs and an eye mask if you are a light sleeper. Also, the toilet is terrible. It got clogged after 3 days of normal use, and there is a plunger next to it which shows that it happens often (Hunter actually admitted to that). We were without a bathroom for a couple days and this was a huge inconvenience. Hunter does not warn anyone about this, so if you do stay here make sure not to flush paper down the toilet and generally be very careful with it.

The upside is that Canal street station is so close, with a lot of subway lines running through. The coolest shops in Soho are also very close walking distance which is great. Also, the saddle chair is pretty comfortable.

    Response from Hunter:

Adriadne was a polite and respectful guest who took excellent care of my home. She was in good communication and asked all the relevant necessary questions of a guest staying for a week or more. Whilst she did experience problems with the toilet, and promptly asked for a plumber, I kindly explained to her as anyone knows who's lived in New York before knows that plumbing is not always well behaved. Our bathroom is only 4 years old, so it's not like we have an old bathroom. Once I described how to use the plunger exactly she was able to unclog the toilet ;-)
