About this listing
The flat is on the 2nd floor and is ideally located 25-30mins walk from the city centre.
Friendly house with young professionals and travelers. We like to share time in the living room, going out...

I have several rooms between 2 flats in the same building. Maybe I can give you a whole flat if all the rooms are free, otherwise you'd have to share the common areas.
Thanks a lot and see you soon!

Please lock the main door always behind you when you leave the building. Please note we have a quiet time after 11pm so guests can sleep and not be disturbed.
I received great support from Ali in finding the house where all was ready. He has big smile and is very sincere. When I discovered I had lost my keys on final day he was very understanding. Lovely convenient place near Birmingham centre and right on bus stop.
When I arrived at Manu's Place for a 4-weeks-stay, he gave me a nice welcome and helped me with my luggage and gave me a short introduction into the house.
During the time, I had much fun spending the evenings and weekends together with lots of people.
I really love the time I had at this place because it felt like a big community but I can imagine, that it seems a bit weird to people who only stay for short times.
The room was - as in the pictures - small, cozy and clean, the kitchen and bathrooms as clean as possible with so many people.
Everyone in the house has very helpful and nice, they'd help you with any issue you could have. It's also very close to the city centre, so you can even walk there.
Manu's accommodation is pretty basic. The premises are fairly run down and we were uncomfortable at first with this. Having said this, we got a decent bed, a hot shower and the room was clean. The kitten was friendly but we did not meet Manu. To be honest I wouldn't stay here again though.
Although quite basic the room was clean, the bed comfy, peaceful, convenient location and very friendly host and other guests. Would have no problems returning in the future.
It was the perfect place to crash for the night.

About the Host, Manu
I am currently renovating and re-decorating the place in between bookings slowly based on comments and advise left by previous guests. This means that I am in the progress of improving the place so please bare this in mind and with patience when requesting to book. If you have any specific issue you would like to highlight, please be kind enough to let me know this when you here in person as direct feedback is also welcomed. Thanks
I am a Chemistry and Spanish Teacher from Spain living in the UK since 2012 and I like meeting people from all over the world. My friend Ali who has been looking after the place whilst I was away is helping so you will probably see him also.
I know it's not always easy but I like when there's time to share with guests, going out, etc.
There's a famous, cheap South East Indian/Sri Lankan restaurant next to my 2 flats called Chennai Dosa where I like having dinner with my guests when it's possible.
I live 1 minute away from the 2 towers which inspired JRR Tolkien to write The Lord of the Rings and 2 mins walking from The Oratory where He used to participate and 1 minute from The Plough and Harrow hotel where he stayed as well.
The property is located 5-6mins walking distance to the Botanical Gardens and 7-8mins walk to the Edgbaston Reservoir
