• 1 Modern Bathroom

• Fully-equipped Kitchen (w/ dishwasher)

• SONOS sound system in living room (Full surround) and bedrooms.
Download the app (link below) before arriving and you can take control of the music once you are connected to WiFi. Apple Music and Pandora subscriptions enabled.

• 2 retro bar stools for meals

• Rooftop access with nice view of Manhattan

• SUBWAY ($2.75/ride or $31/week) :: I live closest to the Franklin stop with four express trains (2/3/4/5). These trains will get you to the Financial District/Tribeca in just 20-25 minutes, Soho/Greenwich Village in 30-35 minutes and Grand Central/Time Square in 40-45 minutes

• CABS FROM JFK/LGA :: I live within a 30 minute cab ride from either JFK or the LaGuardia Airports and these cab fares shouldn't be more than $35-$45 (one-way) depending on traffic

• My apartment sits on the border of "Prospect Heights" and "Crown Heights" in Brooklyn, just east of Prospect Park (Brooklyn's version of Central Park) and a short 5 blocks from Brooklyn's Botanic Garden, the Brooklyn Museum and Grand Army Plaza (with a wonderful Saturday Market)

• This is a quiet residential neighborhood of beautiful brownstone homes and smaller apartment buildings with a growing number of Manhattan-quality restaurants, bars, coffee shops and boutiques within 2-10 blocks walking distance

• NYC's famous Brooklyn Museum (just 5 blocks away) has a Pay-What-You-Wish entry daly (Note: their "suggested contribution" for adults is $12 and $8 for seniors/students but these are only suggestions)

• The Botanic Garden (also just 5 blocks away) offers free entry all day on Tuesdays and before 12pm on Saturdays

• The apartment is equally as close to the spacious Prospect Park (Brooklyn's version of Central Park - both were designed by the same landscape architect) which hosts many great free outdoor film screenings, concerts and food festivals every summer:

Interaction with guests

Leo is currently living in the second bedroom and maintaining my apartment listing for me while I am away. Although he is a workaholic, you may get to meet Leo during your stay. Not only can he give you tech advice on how to take full advantage of some of the geeky features of the apartment (SONSO, hue lights, automated AC units), he can also give recommendations for what to see and do in Manhattan and Brooklyn and makes a great cup of coffee.

The neighborhood

Crown Heights has become a hot spot for new restaurants and trendy new residents. Many guests love being outside of Manhattan yet able to conveniently go there when needed. Brooklyn has so much to offer that many repeat visitors just stick around "BK". Crown Heights is walking distance to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

Getting around

2 blocks from the Franklin Av subway stop (2,3,4,5)
Bus stop on same block to get to Williamsburg and other Brooklyn neighborhoods.

Leo is an excellent host, and was very good at anticipating his guests' needs. I got back from a late flight, and had water, some soap, chocolate, and a sleep mask ready for me on the bed. So thoughtful! His place was just as described. Clean, close to public transit, and very comfortable. Leo's communication was also excellent. I would definitely stay here again!

I have no words to say how amazing was my stay here. This is the kind of place that invites you to stay and enjoy, very charming and I must confess even being in NY sometimes I just wanted to be home. Leo is a great host, very polite and always available for my needs. The space is very well used, a really intelligent home, great sound system, film projector, even get the latest tweets in the bathroom iPad! Amazing coffee also. Away from the noise and sirens of manhattan but very close to metro to take you anywhere. There are plenty of good restaurants not far away and also the beautiful Prospect park. That's the perfect place to stay when visiting NY. Excellent Value! Thanks so much Leo.

It's such a lovely place that we will come back. Our host was very kind. He gave us advices to know wharf to go. The flat is well located, close to the subway, Propect park, and the very interesting Brooklyn museum. Location close to usefull shops like groceries, postal, coffee shops, and good restaurants. If you enjoy running too, in Prospect Park.
