This was a fabulous place to stay. When I arrived, I was told to go to the information centre to ask them to call for a ride. I was fourth in line and each person in front of me had been advised to do the same for their accommodation. Each person was told that they could not be picked up as the hotel was busy at that time. The Cappadocia Stone Palace was the only accommodation that followed through and came to pick me up at the bus depot.
Once I arrived, they provided me with breakfast which they didn't have to do and then gave me a room to sleep and shower in as my check in time wasn't for many hours and the room wasn't ready yet. Amazing.
They organized everything I wanted to do and were great about getting me a shuttle to the airport. In addition, they provided me with a room that I could use during the day after I checked out as I wasn't to be picked up until 8pm that night.
I was thoroughly impressed with the service they provided and the room was very nice and clean. I even had a Jacuzzi tub!!!
I would strongly recommend staying with these folks. It was well worth the money.
The building is decent but the service was poor. There was rarely someone in the lobby. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke and there was no air circulation- no fans or a/c - normally not a big deal but the hotel is 20 meters from the main street in Goreme so we had to keep our windows closed because noisy trucks and tractors were continuously driving. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired with stale bread and Sunny D instead of orange juice.
Goreme has a lot of inexpensive hotel options that will offer better service and accommodations for the price.
My stay was a pleasant one. It was a busy period during our 2 night stay so we didn't have a lot of contact with Mr Isa. The room was clean, spacious, comfy and tidy. Whenever we caught Mr Isaround he helps us with our queries. They even allowed us to pack their breakfast when we wanted to have a picnic. This airbnb booking normally gives you a family bedroom with no bathtub. Be sure to ask before booking to confirm this. A big plus is that it is of walking distance to Goreme town center and the Goreme Open Air Museum. Only thing lacking was a balcony with a view
although he was sick, Isa was a wonderful host and even managed to change the schedule of our balloon flight (we wouldn't not fly if it was not for Isa) His staff is also very kind
The room is perfect and the hotel is very charming. I'll definetely recomend the stone palace to my friends.
This place was just so amazing, not only because of the hotel itself, but more so the staff who were just so welcoming and friendly. Isa was just so friendly and helpful it felt like we had known each other for ages! He took such good care of me, organized such good and affordable tours and even offered to drive me to the open air museum in case it rained. The rest of the staff were equally nice...Murad (who has such a great sense of humour and was excellent company) and the boy from Ergup (thank you for the delicious cheese omelet!). When it was time to leave, i was actually so sad cos it felt like i was leaving friends
The hotel itself is immaculate and so well kept. Spotless! And they have this lovely area on the terrace where you can have your breakfast. You can also have drinks anytime....which they will prepare for free!
Location is also just gorgeous and ideal...you are just a 1km walk from the open air museum and surrounded by gorgeous caves. There are also great eating and shopping spots all within walking distance. I would highly highly recommend this place to everyone!
Thanks so much Isa, Murad and the rest for making my stay so memorable.
Our experience with Isa and Cappadocia Stone Palace was flawless. Isa was the perfect host and arranged anything and everything we could have wanted, including an amazing Turkish Night (ask about it!) and a Hot Air Balloon ride at sunrise. Not only that, but he volunteered to drive us around to multiple sites so that we wouldn't have to pay for transportation. He was down to earth, accommodating, highly professional, and a pleasure to speak to. As for the accommodation, the building is brand new and very elegantly decorated. Beautiful, ancient stones meet traditional Turkish decorations in a very cozy house/hotel. Breakfast is included every morning. Highly recommend to all!
