Elizabeth was very helpful, and reassured us greatly that our dogs were more than welcome. Being able to bring our pups with us to our lakeside experience made our 20th wedding anniversary a dream come true. The cabin was rustic in a way that corresponded to our preconception of what a New England lakeside vacation would be. There was even a loon on the lake, as though we had ordered it in advance at extra cost. The dogs tried a little dock diving, and we went for a sortie in the pedal boat. The grill was employed for alfresco dining. The property was larger than I imagined, which gave us privacy. The views from the porch at breakfast were spectacular. Somewhat closer to the main commercial drag than I thought, but that only provided more convenience than loss of peace and quiet. This location turned out to be within easy reach of excursion venues, such as Freeport, Portland, Scarborough, and even Kennebunk. All in all a fantastic stay!

We had a wonderful week at Elizabeth's place with our two children (ages 3 and 2). The cabin was very well stocked with everything we could need by way of kitchen equipment and bedding and even included some nice toys which are children enjoyed. The outdoor space is gorgeous and the proximity of the lake was such a treat. There is a lovely shallow entry with big rocks which our three year old was able to navigate on her own and some nice shallow water for both our children to wade in. The much larger Sebago Lake is a fifteen minute drive away and has a large beach area and also swings and a snack cafe. We had two happy days there during our week, and also a day trip to Portland taking in the excellent children's museum there. Bob's fish and seafood restaurant at the end of Elizabeth's road is superb for fresh delicious lobster. We also loved bomb diggity, equally close, for delicious coffee, free wifi and lovely homemade food. Elizabeth was extremely kind to us and was attentive to anything we might need. In fact we needed nothing and had a wholly lovely experience. Thank you! Emma, James, Isabel and Thomas

We had a delightful stay in Elizabeth's cabin. Elizabeth was very responsive but also respected our privacy. The cabin is very private and quiet. There are many homes on the pond, however only a few were visibly occupied. We saw/heard just enough children to make us smile and were able to enjoy the smell of a wood fire several evenings. The kayaks were great. It was my first experience in a one person kayak and it was very easy. I was even able to put one in the water by myself. The cabin was more than large enough for the two of us (plus cat) and the kitchen was very well supplied (as were linens and towels). There were very comfortable chairs down by the water as well as a covered porch swing and dining table in the back yard. There are three large grocery stores within a couple miles. We ran out of time for a drive to Portland but we did visit Freeport, where the Azure Cafe on Main Street had excellent food. There are several hiking options within 15 minute drive and much more a little further. We couldn't have asked for a lovelier place to decompress from city life and definitely plan to return.

Elizabeth was a great host and made us feel very welcome. We had a great vacation and enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and sitting on the dock. We enjoyed how many different outdoor seating options there were, so our party of 6 had plenty of space outside.

Elizabeth's cabin in 10m from the lakeside with beautiful views and a tranquil setting, while not being remote. The lake is great for paddling around and the kayaks and paddle boat were really perfect for our kids (13 and 15). The accommodation was clean and the kitchen was excellent for us (we like proper cooking), but there are 2 walkable restaurants (Italian and a seafood shack). We would definitely like to come back!

Our stay at Elizabeth's place was superb. As with the other reviews the photos do not do her place justice, it's absolutely quaint, filled with all the amenities you would need and the pond access and views are stellar. The location is so great, everything you would need including a great gym right down the street that offers week passes. I would absolutely stay here again next time I'm visiting Maine.

Elizabeth met us at the house and showed us around. The cottage was rustic. The space was a bit tight for a party of 7, including 3 adults and 4 kids (12-16). The outdoor space, however, added to the living area and was where we spent most of our waking hours. It was a quiet setting for all to kayak, paddleboard, swim, fish, and tool around in the peddle boat. No crazy boat traffic to worry about. Coffee on the dock every morning. Beautiful sunsets each evening. Half hour excursion to Portland. Seacoast Fun Park. Plenty to do in/outdoors nearby. A great value!
