Trillium is a casual fine dining restaurant with 3 beautiful little guest rooms upstairs. Two of our rooms have ocean views and share 1 bathroom, and the other room overlooks the town of Mendocino, and has its own bathroom.
The rooms are above our restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner daily, and brunch on the weekends. Our rooms are very simple. They are all newly decorated and have all new beds and furnishings. We don't recommend bringing small children, our windows aren't safe for little kids when open. The stairs are also quite steep. The rooms are on the second story. The restaurant is completely handicap accessible. At this time we are not serving breakfast with the room price, but do plan to do a continental breakfast soon. We do have coffee and tea in the morning.
Guests will be provided with keys for the front door and room keys.

We booked the Trillium over Valentine's Day weekend, and it was the perfect spot for a short getaway. Sandra was very gracious-- she left chocolate in our room each day and yes, as previous reviewers have mentioned, her scones are delicious! We ate at the restaurant for Valentines Day dinner. If you visit Mendocino, you must eat at Trillium. The food was absolutely wonderful. The place is perfectly located, in the heart of the Mendocino village; an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and the beautiful ocean-front trails. Thank you, Sandra, for a beautiful stay in Mendocino.
Good location for some waves watching. They serve great food -- had dinner there twice(!) Tea/coffee and pastry service in the morning around 8:30 or 9a, but can request an earlier time. Comfy room set-up. Shared the restroom and didn't have any issues with our inn neighbors. Not certain how they measure up to the rest of the Inns -- there were quite a few in the neighborhood.
The Trillium House is lovely. Perfect location, welcomingm cozy and the food is to die for!
Sandra and the staff at Trillium was really nice and welcoming. The listing was as lovely as pictured and the neighborhood was fabulous. I loved the view from my window and the opportunity to walk out the door and be right in the midst of all the cute shops and galleries in Mendocino. I had a great time walking along the bluffs in the morning. Staying here was a delight!
We had a lovely stay at he Trillium. We had no trouble finding the place as we have vacationed in Mendocino for 20 years. Our host Saul made us feel very welcome. Our room and the bath were spotlessly clean.
A few suggestions: add a row of hooks as there was little room to hang clothes. Add brigher light bulbs. We had to buy our own as those supplied were way too dim for reading in the room. Add another shelf unit in the corner to allow for stowing of stuff.
We dined at the Inn our first night food was excellent. We would recommedn and stay there again.
Sandra, thank you and your team for making our short stay memorable. I enjoyed your cozy setup downstairs, and your dinner was amazing... Especially the home-made mushroom ice cream.
The Trillium Cafe was the perfect place to stay in Mendocino! The room was comfortable and clean, the noise level was fine, and you wake up to the most incredible view of the ocean. Sandra, Saul, and the other folks at Trillium were very friendly and made check-in/out extremely easy.

My husband Saul and I bought the restaurant last year and opened in March. We are really enjoying running our own business, and have a great time meeting all our new guests, and creating the new menus for the restaurant.
