The spacious open plan living room area hosts a couch that converts into a double sofa bed for additional guess, as well as an extra guest bed. The entertainment system includes a 32-inch digital TV, cable TV service, Blu-Ray & DVD player surround sound system, I-pod/I-phone speakers. There is fiber optic wireless broadband throughout ((email hidden) mobile phone is provided for your use during your stay.

The bedroom is furnished with a double-size bed fitted with comfortable mattress and fresh linens. The apartment benefits from blackout blinds for total darkness for a comfortable nights sleep, both in the bedroom and in the living room area for those sleeping on the sofa bed.

A bath and shower can be found in the bathroom along with fresh towels, a hair dryer, and a selection of shampoo and soaps for your convenience.

Making meals is easy with the fully equipped open plan kitchen. From appliances to utensils, you will find everything you need for a meal on the go or a full course sit down dinner. Enjoy a morning coffee from the latest Nespresso coffee machine with a wide selection of flavor capsules and variety of mugs. A washing machine is conveniently located in the apartment for laundry.

  • There's a bunch of reviews for this place already that list detailed pros and cons, so I had a fair idea of what to expect and thankfully I had no nasty surprises and just a very comfortable stay. Paul and his team keep the place maintained well, and are quick to respond to anything you may enquire about.

  • This rental was exactly what we wanted. We are a couple in our sixties who love to travel to foreign places and live in local residences that can integrate us well into the life of the area. This rental could not have been better suited for us -- many cosy amenities in the apartment such as a Nespresso coffee maker, mobile phone for local usage, good quality linens, light-obscuring window treatments, a very well stocked kitchenette, a washing machine for light laundry, reliable Wifi service, and a hairdryer. The apartment was great for visits from our two grown sons and their friends, who came in more than once for coffee and card playing before dinner.
    The locale is perfect -- excellent access to London transport, and a multitude of shops, restaurants and pubs in a young, thriving community. We left wishing that we owned a flat in the area.
    A hearty thank-you to Paul and his team for giving such an apt description of the rental and for being so accommodating during our stay. I definitely want to rent from them again.

  • Really great flat. it's clean and well stocked. The front room with efficiency kitchen is commodious; the landing makes a for a nice transition to the bedroom; the bedroom is roomy and bed is comfortable too; the bathroom is well stocked and updated. Paul is very easy to work with and accommodating. It is 3 flights up which may or may not be an issue depending on what you're looking for. The only downside is that the bar downstairs plays music every night. When we were there they stopped at midnight. I was there for work so it wasn't great to be up that late; however, if I were going to be up late anyway, then it wouldn't really be an issue. Other than that, it's a really great flat.

    Thanks for your comment and review. There's pubs everywhere in central London and they are regulated to stop noise at set times. This one pub is not downstairs by the way. The apartment is on the top floor 3rd floor so far away from the street and the bedroom is located at the back so it's even more quiet. Downstairs is a cool stationery store. The pub is next door up the road and they have jazz sometimes and stop any music at 23h00.

  • Very good location, only 5 minutes to the next underground station, and not far away from the city center. Nice area, many pubs and restaurants. Apartment was very clean and a good place to stay. It was a little bit small for five people (which was previously announced by Paul, so I do not complain), but it worked without any problems. I can highly recommend this apartment.

  • My parents and I stayed here 2 weeks while attending my brother's London wedding. We had an OK stay at this apartment, it was extremely well-located and close to great cafes/restaurants and public transport. However we were unpleasantly 'surprised' by the 3 flights of narrow, rickety, winding stairs required to access the apartment, which was not mentioned in the description - my parents are older and this was not ideal for them. Also not mentioned in the description is that the apartment is situated directly above an extremely noisy bar with live rock music blasting most nights until midnight, and then raucous crowd noise for at least an hour after that! Even with the windows closed it was extremely loud and impossible for us to fall asleep until nearly 2am most nights. The beds were comfortable, but overall it felt that the apartment used to be charming and modern, but is now a little shabby with a few amenities in need of updating or repair: the fridge was never cold - it stayed around room temperature, and there were no blackout blinds, as advertised, to stave off the early morning light. One tip would be to make sure to provide at least a change of bed linens if guests are staying more than one week - there were plenty of towels, but only one set of bed sheets. I guess this apartment would be perfect for some, but unfortunately did not quite meet our expectations.

    All blinds are blackout blinds in the bedroom and in the living room too. I am not sure i understand this comment. We have a renovation plan in place to repaint and redecorate this unit, as we do regularly. It will be fastracked for this month of July, and the fridge-freezer replaced right away.   • Enjoyed the neighborhood - made us feel that we were really experincing what it would be like to live in London, not just be in the tourist zone.
    Had an issue with the heating (being unfamiliar with boilers) but one phone call, and Paul responded and fixed it in minutes.
    Main bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed may work better for one person.
    Very functional and comfortable for a family with teens - did laundry, ate there several times, convenient to transportation, lots of TV channels.
    Paul and his support team were great to deal with, from start to finish.

  • Lovely apartment - modern, clean & tidy and very central (on Upper Street and you have immediate access to shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, supermarket). Well priced. Our 1-bed had a lovely roof terrace (partially covered with a comfortable lounger) which was very private. Cooking / kitchen / kettle facilities available in apartment. Good area space in common areas so having my family stay wasn't too cramped.

    Apartment is a few seconds away from the bus stop which takes you to London Bridge (43), Marble Arch (N1) etc - these run frequently so getting into Central London isn't a problem. Angel tube (Northern Line) and Highbury & Islington (overground) are nearby too.

    Paul has been a great host and lovely to deal with. He responds to messages within good time. Always on hand to resolve any issues (e.g., our kettle was broken and he sent us a replacement within 24 hours). Also very accommodating so extending my stay wasn't a problem.

    Would certainly recommend these apartments for a short stay in London. Beats the expensive touristy areas any day!

  • Paul was a fantastic host!
    He work a lot to solve all our doubts and problems, and was helpfull all the time, after and during our time at his apt.
    Also, the apt is at a great place in London, with lots and lots things to do, near to tube, with a intense nightlife and easy to go to everywhere even by the night.
    And theapt structure is amazing, we stayed there as we was at our homes.
    Be safe with the deal. Its a great and enjoyable place to stay with excellent conditions for a good time in London.

  • A great place to stay. Besides the flat itself which was exerything that the pictures showed and indeed quite comfortable, I particularly enjoyed the fact that despite staying in a foreign city by myself for four weeks, I never felt lonely: the flat is so well located in the heart of Islington, with people from all over the world coming to eat and drink here. There is a very popular pub right next door, and the live music from it made it all the way to the flat (which was perfectly fine for me!)
