Marzia was a very warm and helpful host and generous with her advice and time. She is very thoughtful, vibrant, interesting, and interested in all that you do. I stayed for 2 weeks which is perhaps a little too long as the room is very small. Saying that, it was spotlessly clean, full of all the mod cons and even had a microwave which came in handy. It was truly a pleasure to meet Marzia and her family and I enjoyed my stay immensely.
I had ( Eva) a Perfect experience at Marzia's place! Is right by the Vatican and you can see it from the window! Pretty amazing!,
The area is safe and I walked to all the places. But you can definitely use the bus and taxis( I took some cabs actually and was always around 8 €). I arrived and left by train which was very convenient since she is blocks away from the station( forgot the name). The room is lovely. Very clean, beautiful and harmonious. It was a pleasure getting there after a long day. The bed is super comfortable. The shower fantastic. There are Rome guides in the shelves which was very useful. The entrance to the room is independent from the rest of the apartment which I thought it was cool. Everything better than expected. I loved it. Marzia is just an amazing host. I entered her place as a guest and left as a friend. Lovely. Thank you very much Marzia!.
P.S: for the Vatican visit I highly suggest to use the company " dark Vatican tour". It's fantastic. Smart, young and knowledgable guides. Very dynamic and exiting, fun :)
The apartment is simple and functional - a reasonable sized, light-filled room and a properly equipped bathroom that works as it should. It's a locked-off section of Marzia's own 8th floor apartment, with its own entrance, and a wonderfully old fashioned (but perfectly functional) lift opposite. It's within a few hundred metres of St Peters basilica, and only ten minutes brisk walk from the more interesting old city side of the Tiber. The apartment is close to the route of the 64 bus, which runs from Termini Station, and to San Pietro Station, from where the train to the main airport takes about 40 minutes (with one easy change on the way). Marzia is charming and helpful, but anyone who likes early nights should be aware that she has high-spirited young children who don't seem to go to bed much before ten.
My stay at Marzia's place was just lovely - the room is completely separate, with its own entrance, though if you need anything at all Marzia is just on the other side of the door!
The location was great for the Vatican (literally a 5 minute walk), and about 15 minutes from Piazza Navona.
Oh and if you are planning on taking a cab from the airport, ask Marzia to arrange a driver - you pay a flat rate in a cab anyway and for the same price you can travel in style... A very glamorous way to arrive in the Eternal City!
Breakfast is a coffee and cornetto at the cafe downstairs - a few doors the other way is an excellent pizzeria called Goose (!) It's well worth checking out if you've need a break from the madness of the city centre!
Saludos Marzia
The location is simply perfect; the apartment is very nice with a wonderful view of Saint Peter's Basilica; the room is really clean; Marzia is very friendly and helpful. I hope to come back soon :)
From the beginning of contacting La casa de Marzia until the last minute I stayed at their place everything was perfect! I received my confirmation to stay with them within 2 hrs of submitting my request. She contacted also to to get details of my trip and upon my arrival to Rome Fabio (her husband and her) went to pick me up at the airport. Fabio told me the story of Rome during in our way to their place. They gave me info about to get around in the city, a map and even an English-Italian dictionary that I could use :)
The room was impeccable and with a beautiful view. Super clean, comfortable and private. Next time I stay in Rome, I'm definitely staying with them again. Thank you both for your kindness!!!
The room is very clean and Marzia and Fabio are very helpful, even on stupid queries or special case, they always find an easy solution. Great thanks.
Do not hesitate to book, it will ease your trip.
After arriving Rome I had Marzia's husband Fabio to pick me up from the airport. It turned out to be a very nice experience for me as a new visitor. Fabio is so knowledgeable about Rome and has also passion about his own country's great heritage. The room has an independent door and location unbeatable. I took a morning walk 5 mins to the St Peter's and Vatican. Great location in Rome!
Maria's B&B was amazing! We were originally hesitant as 2 girls traveling alone to Rome but Marzia and her family made us feel so at home. They offered great suggestions and tips for sightseeing and the location was spectacular. Marzia's B&B would be a first option if I were to travel to Rome again.
Thank you Marzia for everything. You have a lovely family and we appreciated everything you did for us during our stay. :)
