Great location, friendly and very helpfull hosts! Nice, clean room! Highly recomended!
From start to finish the hosting was great. Fabio met us at the airport on time and drove us back to the airport on time. The location is excellent, within 250 metres of the Vatican Square. The neighbourhood is calm and has very good eating facilities and variety. The room that we stayed in was very comfortable. Fabio and Marzia made us very welcome. We breakfasted with them and their family when the cafe/bar was not open on Ist January. I highly recommend this place as a place to stay when visiting Rome. It is very central and within walking distance not only of the Vatican but of all the ancient Roman monuments.
Marzia and her husband are absolutely wonderful hosts! I was greated with a warm welcome and a clean and fully supplied bedroom/bathroom/shower that is true to the pictures shown. The apartment is on a higher floor and one afternoon I thought it would be fun to take the stairs on my way back to the room, but save yourself the heart attack and use the lift that's provided! ;) As well, there are lovely neighbors in the building that I met during my stay!
The location is perfect for those who enjoy quiet, and considering how busy Rome is in general, I definitely enjoyed the peacefulness. I chose the location though because of St. Peter's Square being so close, about 5 minutes by walk. In fact, the location is perfect for a day around this area to beat the lines especially for St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums. I visited both within the first hour of their opening hours and missed the lines completely.
I am a female in my early 20s and was traveling alone for 4 days (3 nights). I felt safe and comfortable walking to St. Peter's after dark or waiting for the bus during the dark at the couple of stops located near the apartment. There are also metro stops that I used that can be reached by an easy stroll through St. Peter's and past Vatican City. Both metro and buses are very easy to navigate and can be used to put you within easy walking distance of popular locations such as the Colosseum and Roman Forum, Pantheon and the Spanish Steps.
There is a popular pizzeria on the same block as the apartment called Papa Rex that was pretty tasty but very busy! As well, there is a bar a couple doors down for a quick breakfast and some lunch items. I spent a lot of time though on the street that runs just on the outside of Vatican City and found countless pizzerias, bars, and shops.
Although I didn't see Marzia and her husband during my stay, I felt like I could've popped in whenever I needed something! I was provided with a map of the city and books if i needed them about the language or the city. I would absolutely recommend this room for anyone's stay in Rome! I hope when I'm able to return Marzia will have room available for me to stay again :)
Marzia was excellent. She made me feel very welcome and was extremely helpful in giving me advice for touring Rome. The listing was pretty accurate, as the location was literally a 5 minute walk from the Vatican. She even took me to her roof to take pictures with the basilica in the background. I would definitely stay there again!
Marzia was very accommodating and responsive to my inquiries, as I had changing itineraries. The place was not only strategically located, but also nicely kept. I love the private entrance and little touches in the room. It is a perfect pied-a-terre for short visits to Rome.
I arrived late in Rome and had Fabio come pick me up at the airport which was really convenient. He was really friendly and the ride was 30min from the airport, during which he spoke about Rome and its history. He also was very kind enough to present me to the owner of the pizza place and its Egyptian staff, which was an amazing place to spend the first evening when wanting to eat something before going to bed. The room has everything, except the view , but Marzia is very kind and now a professional at taking pictures of people with the view of San pietro. the room might be a bit on the pricey side but it's well worth being close to the center when you are only spending two nights like I was. I didn't take the public transportation to go to city center but the stations and busses are close and it is very close to Trastevere area which is very nice to have a drink and eat there in the evening. I took the public transportation back to the airport which took me less than an hour, and 8euros. I was very happy with this room, I would recommend it.

Adoro ballare, viaggiare e camminare.
