  • This house was so wonderful. Some friends and I came to Vermont to celebrate our friends wedding and this place was perfect. Several of the families had small children and it was very easy to be in private spaces and together communally in the kitchen/dinning/living room. The kitchen was amazing and can easily support the preparation of large meals. This is a very charming old farm house and felt like being at home, although not the place if you want to run several hair driers at the same time. Easy hiking in the area and access to grocery stores, or whatever might be needed.

  • A small group of friends rented the farmhouse for a long getaway weekend to celebrate a 50th birthday, and we could not have found a more perfect or comfortable setting. Of course like any old house there are a few details that the owners are still working on, better wiring etc. But nothing major, or unexpected in a very old house undergoing a slow and loving restoration. We had everything we needed and were very happy. The owner is very upfront about the pros and cons before arrival, so it's best to have a conversation with her ahead of time, just to get a sense of what to expect. This particular house offers a delightful and uniquely "Vermont" character that can't be faked. Every room has it's own style and charming eclectic décor. The pastoral setting is breathtaking, and there is quite a lot to do in the area ie: great hiking, waterfalls, the opportunity to ride horses and some really pretty towns to explore . The owner is delightful, helpful, very kind, and easily accessible for advice or questions. She helped us find the best bakery for the cake, and gave us advice on some really great farmer's markets, restaurants, and where to hike. She knows most of the people in the area, and much of the history.
We were all completely charmed. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend
