About This Listing
The apartment it's just as you see in the pictures and description, simple but a nice place to stay a few days. It is very close to the Accademia Bridge, so it is easy to find and next to the vaporetto station. Elena is very kind and the check in and check out was very easy.
Elena, was a great host. Quick to reply to email, informative and very understanding when I arrived little late to our arranged meeting point.
The accommodation is in a great location. It was very clean and convenient. It was just as described. Ample space to sleep, mini kitchen and bathroom.
It was a perfect for my needs - a budget place to sleep and shower. Would look to book again.
Nice, clean and well located studio. About a 10 minute walk to Rialto and San Marco square. Right beside Campo Santo Stefano and the Academia bridge. Heating works well. Elena is very nice and met us at the vaporetto stop. Kitchen is well equipped with basic utensils. We were able to make simple meals with what we bought from the market. It's too bad the noise on the street level can be quite loud. Sounds seem to echo off the walls. The shower is also quite small and there is barely enough hot water to finish a quick shower. Overall a comfortable stay.
Due to a flight delay, we only made it to the location past midnight but even so Elena came to meet us and spent enough time to explain everything about the place and share some useful tips. She is a lovely person, very friendly and energetic.
The studio was perfect for the two of us, we found everything we needed and plenty of space. Great location, nice neighbourhood, walking distance from every place of interest in Venice. Indeed is on the ground floor and you could hear some noise in the morning when tourists start walking but we had no problem with that. The street is not as busy are others in the city and plus, no one should sleep till late in Venice, anyway! :)
Great experience overall and totally recommended!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Venice apartment. It was a very clean and comfortable space. The host is very kind, thoughtful, and will quickly answer any questions or concerns.
To begin, I found it very easy to get to the apartment from the airport. This was both quick, and the description provided by the host helped a lot. The apartment is also perfectly situated between St. Mark's square where most of the tourist attractions will be, and Campo Santa Margherita where you will want to head for bars, restaurants, etc. I found the heating to be fine unlike some other reviewers. There is a heater that will warm up the room very quickly. Also, in case there is a need for any groceries, soap, etc. there is a super market in San Margherita. Wifi can be found around the corner at the cafes and I did not find the lack of it a big issue. Finally, some reviewers complain about noise. This apartment is not noisy at all! It is very quiet and in a residential area rather than a touristic one. Pretty much as little noise as possible in a city like Venice.
Overall, probably the best introduction I could have had to airbnb.

About the Host, Elena
Hi, I'm Elena, I was born in Venice, and at the moment I'm studing Law at the university of Ferrara.
I opened this B & B because I love being in touch with people and especially get to know people from other countries. I love travelling, I have been in Thailand and China; so different from italy and so fascinating, couldn't help falling in love with them. I really enjoy cooking, and love eating good and different food. In these places the food was so delicious and unique, so many different sights and scents.
You also need to know that I share my life with my beautiful little black dog, her name is Honey! And with my lovely super cute but really fat cat, Piumino. I'm sure they won't miss to give to you a very warm welcome ;)
