Our home is nestled among trees and flowers on a 365 ft. water front of an all-sports lake. Deck has furniture for relaxing outside. The living room view of the lake has a fireplace & 14 ft ceilings. It has a country feel with city conveniences.

The Space

We are nestled in the woods on 7 acres with 350' of frontage on two small lakes. The Green Room has a pillow top full-size comfy mattress with black wooden frame. An electric blanket is available for your comfort. The quilt and slipper chair are new. The room was just redone in October 2015. There is a small refrigerator available. A continental breakfast including yogurt, fruit, and coffee, or tea is provided. While there is no TV in the room, you do have access to cable TV in the living room.

Guest Access

You have access to the living room which has a gas fireplace. You may relax outside on our deck furniture. Swimming and fishing access are available from our lakeshore.

Interaction with Guests

We are happy to answer questions and help you get oriented to our area. We will be around most of the time but will give you privacy if you desire.

The Neighborhood

Located in Alto, we are ten minutes to major grocery stores; 15 minutes to the mall; and 25 minutes to award-winning downtown Grand Rapids. Gas station, convenience store, and fast food are two minutes away. We have a country feel with close proximity to city conveniences.
Campau and Kettle Lakes have 125 acres of all-sports access with fishing for Bluegill, Small and Large Mouth Bass, Cat Fish, Rock Bass, and Walleye.
Canoeing/Tubing from 84th Street Dam
Great golfing - 5 golf courses within 15 minutes of this location
Grand Rapids is just 25 minutes from our home. There are many great places to eat and see. It has been voted Beer City USA, the best place to retire, Triathlon City USA, and Lonely Planet designated Grand Rapids as the #1 best place to retire.

Getting Around

No public transportation is available. Taxis are available from the Gerald R. Ford airport which is about 10 minutes away.

Our dog, Bailey, is a Bichon Frise--a small, fluffy hypo-allergenic dog.
