Very charming neighborhood. This building is walking distance to everything Chicago has to offer: Lake Michigan and its beaches, incredible night life and restaurants, wonderful shops and boutiques, movie theatre, comedy clubs (Zanies and Second City) and the el train and buses are just a few blocks away.
I look forward to your reservation!
The Studio is well located in busy Old Town. The pictures are exactly what you get. We had some initial issues with lights and TV setup, but Joanne and the building maintenance team were readily available to solve the problem. WiFi is strong and consistent. The 24-hour Front Desk is comforting as you walk-in off of the busy street. Nice to get a "hello". Parking is a big challenge if you have a car, but what place in or near downtown Chicago doesn't have an issue. Everything worked in the kitchen, the shower is hot, and the bed is big and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
Wish this was my actual apartment!!! I love her places. Ouse her quiet frequently for when I travel. Overly generous and sweet. Love me some Joanne. Will continue to use her when I need a place when I come out here
JoAnne ist really nice and very helpfully. During us five weeks stay in Chicago from Germany she answered very fast. She organized on the same day a TV technician when the TV does not worked. The place is very nice und lovely designed. Chicago´s area "Old Town" is located very central. In only 15 minutes we arrived on the Michigen Ave on walk. It is the most popular shopping street. As well we needed only 20 minutes in the Loop on walk. The Clark/Division metro station we arrived in less 10 minutes. Old Town has a lot of great Pubs and Bars. In three minutes we have found a supermarket (Plum Market). But this is very expensive. A few minutes onwards at the Clark/Division station we have found Jewels. This is very huge supermarket and a lot more cheaper.
The gym is very nice. All most important stations and three TV flat screens are available.
If I am traveling the next time to Chicago, I will absolutely ask JoAnne one more time for one great Apartment.
The loft was cozy and in the Old Town area of Chicago. The loft complex is centered in the middle of Old Town's hustle and bustle. There are multiple excellent restaurants and bakeries within walking distance. Overall, the loft is in a excellent location to visitors of Chicago. The high rated amenities that are provided to JoAnne's guests makes you feel right at home. They have a business center, recreation room as well as a fitness center that was used on occasion but it doesn't stop there the concierge service was available at any time to answer any questions you might have. They were very cordial and attentive and even gave us discounted parking. JoAnne, was an amazing host and just a phone call a way during the check in process and at any point during our stay. Thanks JoAnne! -Chris (Michigan)
Had a wonderful stay at JoAnne's loft in Old Town, Chicago. The place was roomy and cozy at the same time. The location for us was ideal. Hope to return someday!
For a single person, or a couple, the loft is just perfect. A superb location, easy access to public transportation, live and friendly neighborhood, friendly and supportive front desk people, reasonable amenities, what else could one ask for?
However, the loft description states: "Accommodate 4". Well, if the four of you feel comfortable to share a single (king-size) bed, its fine. Otherwise, you might have a problem. The "New sleeper sofa" does not turn into a bed, there is no way that more than one person can sleep on it, and even for one person, the sofa is uncomfortable and dusty.
Since the sleeping facilities are essential in any accommodation, it is expected that the information regarding these facilities should be accurate.
Another comment is that the loft description should mention that there is a reduced-rate parking garage. We found about it only after the fact.
The place is pretty cool. The front desk people are very polite and nice. They are very helpful in any questions that you might have.
You can get discount parking for the lot behind the building. It didn't work for me and I had to pay the full price. However, I brought up the issue to the front desk and they provided me with free passes which made up for it.
You can rent the party room for $300 which $100 is return as deposit if the place is left clean.
The loft was very cozy. I would highly recommend the place to anyone!
Beautiful apartment, exactly as pictured. Perfect location. Great roof top patio!
The location is in Old Town and it's a great neighborhood to be in. The loft was more spacious than I anticipated from the pictures and I would definitely book again if I visit Chicago in the future.
Just a few things that really should be looked into by JoAnne and whoever she hires to take care of the apartment for her.Thankfully none of those things were essential to our stay, but really, they should be taken care of soon.
Nice place in the heart of old town, really convenient area, lots of restaurants supermarket everything you need is close by.
