  • Ron was a great host; quick to answer questions and give advice when asked. I loved being so close to the beach, and seeing the sunrise from the lanai.

  • Ron was a great host. He and his wife have an amazing little condo, and a great location. Literally just minutes from downtown Waikiki traveling on foot. Ron was very easy to contact, and was always timely with replies. The building is secure, and is in a relatively "quiet" part of town. There are a ton of restaurants nearby, as well as coffee huts (Capital One 365, Starbucks).

The condo itself comfortably accomodates two people. The small kitchen serves it's purpose and breakfast or lunch is very easy to serve. The sink can get crowded if your not careful, so dishes after each meal is a good idea. Many of the basics for cooking are provided to you, utinsels, plates, glasses, coffee pot & filters, some seasonings, plastic bags, etc. Really, all you need is a light load of groceries and your all set. The morning view from the Lanai is amazing, as you get to overlook Waikiki with the sun coming up over Diamond Head. Waikiki beach has amazing sunsets as well.

Public Transportation (bus) stop is less than a block away, and many routes are available from the area to take you all over the Island. Car rentals are plentiful in this area, so if you feel like exploring on your own time it's easy to manage.

All in all, you won't be able to beat this condo for the price. Couple that with the hospitality, and this is a great place to call "home" while on vacation.

  • This is a great little apartment in a wonderful location of Honolulu. There is a great little cafe right around the corner, as are major hotels, with all kinds of shops and boutiques. Also very walkable is the beach nearby where the sunsets are spectacular. I could also walk to the nearby Shopping "Mall" -- in about 15 minutes-- where I discovered a fantastic place for ramen noodles that the locals flock to patronize. Really nice.
The apartment itself-- really sweet. VERY clean. I really appreciated that so much.
All my interactions with Ron, the owner, were great. He made it very easy for me to gain access to the apartment, even when my plane was a bit delayed and I arrived later than planned.
It is very sweet and cozy--- a very economical use of this space. Great for one or two people.
The views of Diamond Head and the ocean are very nice to see from the Lani porch area.
Nice also to have laundry facilities in the building.
I would definitely stay here again--- so great to find a place that is such a gem. And again, Ron is a wonderful host.

  • The view from the apartment was fantastic, and everything we needed was there. Since we had so much trouble finding a place at the last minute, we weren't sure what the place would be like, but it turned out absolutely awesome. We couldn't have asked for more. This was just as good as staying at the (much) more expensive Hilton across the street.

Ron and Sallie were friendly and easy going. They were fast to respond to emails, and the internet was fast. We'd happily stay here again.

  • We had a great time Staying at Ron and Sally's ocean view apartment. Would definitely recommend to others and would like to say thanks to Ron for being so helpful with everything from his hospitality to just getting general advice.

  • My vacation in Hawaii was just perfect.
I recommend this place to stay, no doubt.
    Ron - great friendly host.
No problems on arrival, any question is answered promptly.
The apartment is very conveniently located and there is everything you need to rest, even a mask and flippers for swimming.
Price / performance ratio - excellent.
It is like a beautiful view from the balcony, where the distance is seen Diamond Head.
You will not regret it, if you stop at this place!

  • We could not have asked for a friendlier host than Ron.
The view was better than we expected , and we enjoyed "happy hour" and morning coffee out on the lanai watching the Hawaiian surf, at a price not breaking the bank!

We found the location suitable for both walking to Waikiki, as well as the Ala Moana shopping centre. ABC stores are everywhere for most things one needs!

Considering the location and price, this room was value for money, though a little tired. I would stay here again.

  • We have stayed for 4 days at Ron and Sallie´s place. It is in a great location. Clean. Has a really great view. Sallie gave us very usefull information about what to do and what not to do. We enjoyed the stay and can only recommend her.

  • Ron was a wonderful host. He was easy to deal with, prompt and honest. We loved the (website hidden) was clean and included everything you could think of to make your Hawaiian experience enjoyable. The location is ideal and the view spectacular! Thanks Ron and Sallie.

  • Great location with a beautiful view. It's difficult to be "away from it all", visually, in Waikiki, but this studio has that feel because of the park right in front of it. Additionally, the15th floor location allows for a great view of the ocean at a distance. Both the condo and the overall facility are well kept.

The pool was wonderful. It was generally deserted and I was able to swim laps without disturbance.

The only surprises were thoughtful extras that Ron included to make our stay more enjoyable.
