We are situated at a quieter side of town but still within a few minutes away from the busier side of the Puerto Princesa. Our place definitely has a farm-like feel and a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the City.

Other things to note

* We are on Abueg Road, going towards Nasin-aw beach. We are the second house with the pink gate.
* Look for a big clay pot as a landmark and Rosbel Convenience Store. Take the road going in to find Nelly's Nipa Hut.
* Since we are in the rural part of town, roosters live within the area so expect some early morning sounds typical to farms. This gives you an authentically local experience. :)

The place is as pictured on Airbnb. If one is looking for sn idyllic location closer to the local residents, this is the place. (That includes neighbors' chickens, dogs❤ and other critters.). For me it was charming, it may not be for some. Please bear in mind that the hut does not have air conditioning. I knew that off hand so that did not factor in my review. Just beware of the occasional brown-outs; it could get hot. The ladies , Jessica , Anne and Salvacion are all great and accommodating. I'll come back and stay again.

Jessica, the house manager was a great host. She answered all our questions and helped us arranged rides. The wifi was very spotty so make sure you do not need wifi while staying there. The electricity also went out the morning of check out which made things hot. All in all, you get what you paid for, a true outdoors/hut experience. I would stay again!

If you are looking for an affordable and good place to stay in Puerto Princessa, this is the place. The house address was a bit challenging to find but Jessica (the caretaker) was really helpful with getting us there. There were 3 of us travelling, we only had to pay 30 pesos from airport to the place. It is best if you ride a tricycle outside the airport as it is cheaper, and just say that you are going to "White Beach" as that is the most commonly known place near Mark's home. The hut we stayed in was good for 3 person, the room size were just enough. What I like is there's a mini fridge, hot/cold water dispenser, kitchen utensils, wifi, you can hang your wet clothes outside, there's stove if you want to cook, chairs and couch, and the best part is the washroom/comfort room is clean (This is what I'm very concerned about when booking a place- clean freak here!). This is a family-friendly home for sure. Two things that can be improved - Nelly's Nipa Hut sign outside the main street so then it's easy to see especially at night, and the ants in the beds (it was fixed by Jessica). We stayed also at their Nipa Hut 2 which is smaller than the Nipa Hut 1, there's no mini sala - it's only the 2 beds, smaller washroom, sink is outside room, and there's hot/cold dispenser, and wifi still. Jessica was kind enough to wait for us when we travelled back from El Nido. And Mark for accommodating our request as best as he can. The stay was great overall! P.S Bring an empty bottle water and just refill, the bottled water in puerto princessa are expensive. If you are buying, buy a big one from mercury drugstore.
