Interaction with Guests
Ruth (the manager) is usually on hand to field questions and available by ph(phone number hidden) or cell (phone number hidden)
The neighborhood has walking access to some of the most incredible trails in the basin!
It is less than 1 mile from Tunnel Creek Trailhead which leads to the famous Flume Trail! It is on the edge of town and at the beginning of the NV State Parks and all the wild beaches of the east shore. It is right below a local ski resort which creates awesome uphill hikes and right up the street from the lake, the Tahoe Environmental Center and Sierra Nevada College! Please do not bother, or use the driveway to turn around, at 1050 (the next house up the hill)
The local TART bus stop is 1/4 mile from the house and the ski shuttle 1 block. You can easily bike to anything in the town
Other Things to Note
PLEASE! Do NOT bother the uphill neighbor. If you can't find the house - call me, or knock on the duplex doors 1047 across the street (they are friendly)
No smoking anywhere on the property. The Tahoe forest is very dry and vulnerable to the slightest spark.
PLEASE do NOT use the (uphill) neighbors driveway to turn around (use the street). And if you park on the street (because your car is to low to make my driveway, or both spaces are taken) then please park closest to my driveway, as the uphill neighbor needs 4-5 ft street clearance to clear his driveway.
Consideration: While each quest space is private, the house is not sound-proof (or child-proof), so being quiet after 10:00 pm is appreciated and important :). (Nevada casinos and bars are open 24 hrs for the late night crowd)
Please bathe before using the Hot Tub, as we use minimal Bromine.
Responsibility: We gladly provide kayaks, bikes, sleds, snow shoes and any other equipment for your use, we only ask you return it in the condition you found it and let us know of any problems that arise.
Spacious kitchen, cookware and spices are part of shared common area you have 24/7 access to use
My wife and I had a lovely stay with Jacquie - their place was cozy, tidy and really clean. Its in Incline village which is super close to the Tunnel trail - lovely views of the lake and not far from Hidden beach. We did a 3 day trip and stayed 2 nights with Jacquie - we got a ton of hikes in!
Jacquie was a wonderful host. Everything about the experience was excellent. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.
I stayed only two nights at Jacquie / Ruth's place in Incline Village. This was easily the best Airbnb experience I have ever had. The master suite was large, extremely comfortable, and had everything you need (private bath, soap, all the extras you would find in a hotel). The shared space were extremely easy to use and share with Jacquie, and are exactly as described.
As for Jacquie, she was one of the most wonderful individuals i've come across. She constantly made sure I had everything I needed, always had something to do, gave GREAT advice on what to do in the area, made introductions to the neighbors and friends, who I spent 95% of my time in North Tahoe with, and made it extremely easy to see the neighborhood and meet all the locals.
Would recommend this to ANYONE looking at Tahoe (stay in the North!), and will be back at my new "home" in Incline Village.
Best place to stay in Tahoe. They were wonderful hosts, enjoyed chating with them and learning about the community and surrounding areas. If you want to get a true sense of tahoe, this is where you should stay. We enjoyed the kayaks and mountain bikes they provided. The flume trail had spectacular views. Appreciated all their recommendations of places to check out in the area. Our room was private and cozy. Would love to come back for another stay. Thanks
We had a great stay at Ruth's. She's awesome and super sweet: she made us feel like at home and was very accommodating with any of our needs.
We had a lovely time and we highly recommend you stay at her place if you go to Incline Village.
Very nice accommodations, especially that they basically have a tahoe packet waiting for ur arrival, with things to do. I would have given it 5 full stars except that i was very specific about wanting to use the SUP board before i made the reservation yet it was missing the paddle...bummer
Everything about our stay was fantastic! The room was beautiful and comfortable, location was excellent and our host Ruth was really friendly and helpful! We enjoyed a tasty breakfast every morning, checked out several vista points, went kayaking and hit a local beach in just a couple of days :) I would highly recommend the space to anyone wanting to visit Lake Tahoe!
