Located in a quiet neighborhood, but still within walking distance of dozens of new restaurants, bars and music clubs. Check out the newly revitalized Freret Street!
Just 6 blocks from the St. Charles Ave. and the lovely antebellum homes that New Orleans is famous for.
Walk or bike to the Mardi Gras parades (10 blocks) - the apt is very close to the Uptown parade routes...Muses, Orpheus, Bacchus and many others! This area is a nice, 'family friendly' part of the parade route ;-)
The St. Charles Ave., streetcar is 6 blocks away and travels through the Garden District. It drops off on Canal Street and the French Quarter. The bus is a half a block away and drops off at the Superdome, downtown.
Other Things to Note
Please email for special rates during Mardi Gras, Superbowl, French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest, VooDoo Festival, Thanksgiving, Xmas, New Years Eve, Sugar Bowl
Absolutely NO indoor smoking, whatsoever please. There is a large backyard and a front porch where you may smoke. Also, no glass around the pool please, there are plastic cups in the house for your use at the pool. Please respect that this is a home, in a residential neighborhood, and not a hotel, and treat my neighbors as you would your own. No loud or late night parties allowed (that is what the French Quarter hotels are for). Absolutely No additional guests without prior written permission. Thank you!
The seven of us greatly enjoyed staying here. We particularly loved the saltwater pool, the front porch surrounded by jasmine, and the close location to Freret street (go to Cure--awesome drinks!). It was also nice to be within reasonable walking distance (if you love to walk) of Magazine Street and the Garden District, but not in the thick of the French Quarter. Kimberlee was out of town, but was quick to respond to any questions via text and checked in periodically to make sure everything was ok. There was also information left on the chalkboard in the kitchen. The only downside was the damp/musty smell in the house, but that is to be expected in a home that's over 100 years old in the humid climate of NOLA. (I am mildly allergic to mold, but didn't experience any allergies while we were there).
The house was so charming and perfect for a family vacation! We traveled with a group of 8 and stayed at this wonderful airbNb listing! Kimberlee was great and prompt with all our communications! The house was wonderful and we had all the towels, sheets,& & pillows needed! It was very clean and inviting! Though the weather wasn't too great, we did have a chance to sit outside in the gorgeous backyard and enjoyed the beers Kimberlee left for us! The neighborhood was cute and quaint. Can't wait to be back!
Amazing house in a wonderful neighborhood. Yard was wonderful, and house was well kept. Would stay again in a heart beat.
It was a great house and Kimberlee made us feel very welcome. She was in contact with be before and during our stay and was very responsive. We loved the house and the neighborhood. Great place to stay in NOLA!
We had a great time at Kimberlee's house. The house was comfortable and Kimberlee was very welcoming and informative. It was too cool for the pool, but we sat outside on the great front porch every evening. The neighborhood has some really great restaurants and we enjoyed walking around. The location was very central to all the things we wanted to do while in New Orleans.
I just have to say, staying in Kimberlee's home gave my Boyfriend's family and mine the most Wonderful Christmas. Even before we arrived, Kimberlee reached out and asked us if we were interested in having some Christmas decorations. When we arrived she had hung lights and put out Pointsettias and we felt right out home. She provided us with a six foot folding table, steamer, roasting pan, etc. We found everything we needed to cook fabulous holiday meals.
The house is clean and neat and very well kept. We had plenty of towels and toilet paper for our group of seven. The house is also in a very good location, walking distance from shops, restaurants and the street car. We had hot days and cold days and there was plenty of air conditioning and heating for our needs. The back yard looked lovely, although we didn't have a chance to use it.
Although the house is not handicap accessible, one of our group was in a wheelchair and Kimberlee allowed us to use a temporary ramp in front of her home.
All in all, I can't say enough about our stay here. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and if we are all lucky again to be together in New Orleans we will definately want to stay at Kimberlee's home again.
Our family stay at Kimberlee's house was fantastic! Kimberlee was easy to contact and responded to all of our questions and requested immediately. She provided us with extra tables and chairs for our Thanksgiving holiday. The house is great and there was plenty of room for all eight of us to hang out. It got pretty cold while we were there and each room at a space heater and there was a footlocker with lots of extra blankets. We got to enjoy the pool a little bit the first two days we were there. It is beautiful and very well maintained. Even in the cool weather the backyard and deck were the highlight of the house. It is absolutely beautiful in the back. There is no glass allowed around the pool and Kimberlee provides lots of plastic glasses (some with lids and straws!). She also stocked the refrigerator with Abita for our arrival, which allowed us to head straight into the backyard and start enjoying our vacation right away.

I have lived in New Orleans for 10 years and just love it! To me, it combines the best of what I love about living in a city and a small town. There is always something interesting to do here and strangers say hello to you on the street! I will happily refer you to my secret spots around the city, the hole in the wall music clubs, or mom and pop restaurants that are not listed in the guide books...just tell me what kind of experience you want in New Orleans and I will steer you towards it!!! Happy travels, I hope you enjoy my home.
