Come stay with us! You will have your own private casita ("little house"), with a kitchen, queen-size bed, HD satellite TV, and High-Speed WiFi. There are also amenities shared with the main house, such as a large, solar-heated lap pool, outdoor barbecue with shaded seating area, and beautiful courtyard.
We're in North Central Phoenix--just a short walk to light rail. Many major cultural venues are easily accessible via light rail, including The Heard Museum, The Phoenix Art Museum, The Herberger Theater and Phoenix Theater, as well as the downtown sports venues, US Airways Center and Chase Field.
North Central is a haven for some of Phoenix's most exciting restaurants, including Postino, St. Francis, Hana Sushi, Windsor, Federal Pizza, Joyride Taco House, Maizie's, Hula's Modern Tiki, The Yard and Ticoz. There's also lots of independent shops, selling everything from hand-made art to locally-made gourmet foods.
We are a short 10 min walk from the light rail station at Central/Camelback which has access to Sky Harbor Airport. Off street parking is reserved for our guests in our driveway.
We look forward to making you feel totally at home in our beautiful Casita. Please contact us for more information.
You have direct access from the rear of the Casita to our pool, BBQ with shade area. High-speed guest WiFi and satellite TV (w/HBO) are also included.
Interaction with Guests
The Casita is directly across the courtyard from the main house. It is very private and quiet. We are here to help if needed with area suggestions to make your time as enjoyable and enriching as possible.
We live in a wonderful family neighborhood in North Central Phoenix. Lots of old growth trees and plenty of character that is sometimes lost in the newer sub-divisions. Great restaurants and shops are walking distance (see our favorites in the Guidebook).
We are a 10 min walk from the Light-Rail station at Central/Camelback which goes to the airport. The Central Ave and 7th Ave bus routes are at each end of our street. All day transit passes are only $4. Cab fare from the airport is ~$30.
Other Things to Note
For those taking a tour of Arizona ask about our Prescott Mountain House. We love the AZ high country, especially in summer when it`s 20 degress cooler in the pines.
Please--no smoking or additional guests. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets.
The pool is fully gated and also accessible from the Casita back door. It is a Lap Pool, 3 feet deep at each end and 5 feet at the middle. We want you to fully enjoy our pool but please remember your safety is your responsibility.
Washer/Dryer is available in the main house for long term guests
Casita Bonita was a fantastic place to stay. We had some travel issues and Eileen and Michael were very accommodating on working with our arrival times that changed.
The space itself is very clean and nice as well as a great kitchen that we used as well. Highly recommended if you're staying in the Phoenix area!
Just another fantastic experience with airbnb...everything was positive about the casita. Friendly greeting, property tour and local information from the unobtrusive hosts. Clean, great location, nice outdoor areas and wonderful pool for a refreshing dip after a hot day of activities. It seems other positive reviews have described the setting pretty thoroughly, so I'll comment a bit about local eateries. We tried two of the close by (5 minute walk) restaurants and enjoyed both the Windsor (upscale pub grub) and Federal Pizza (wood fired pizza and a lot more). We had a unique and scrumptious pizza named "The Casanova" (Prosciutto, Dates, Ricotta, Arugula + Pecorino) at Federal. With a little longer walk or a short drive try the St. Francis. Lots of menu choices there...I had the pork chop and my wife had the pot roast...both dishes were tender and delicious. Its a bit busy in the evening so might be a good idea to make a reservation. We went without one so were forced to sip a couple of wonderful cocktails at the small bar during our 20 minute wait. Bottom line: book the Casita Bonita...you'll be glad you did!
We were made to feel very welcome by the entire family, this is our second time staying at "Casita Bonita." The neighborhood is as described, very walkable and easy to navigate.
Mike and Eileen were fantastic hosts and their Casita Bonita helped make our vacation wonderful. My boyfriend and I were in the area for spring training and to do a bit of hiking and sight-seeing. It was great coming back to the Casita each night, as it felt like home. There were amenities galore, in case we'd forgotten anything, and Mike and Eileen were gracious to leave us some fruit, snacks and, of course, "Arizona" iced tea. They also gave great recommendations for area sight seeing. Not to mention, the Casita is in an excellent location, close to great restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars and the light rail. The only downfall was our stay was a little too early in the season for the pool—it opened on our last day there. We hope to return as soon as possible!
My wife and I had a great time while staying at Casita Bonita. It's a great location, we walked to dinner and ice cream, just 4 or 5 blocks away. We were in Phoenix for spring training and honestly this location worked great because of its central location. Eileen was very welcoming upon our arrival, leaving us coffee, juice and breakfast foods. I would recommend Casita Bonita to anyone. In fact I have already recommend it to several of my co workers.
What a wonderful quick trip to Phoenix this was. Thanks to "Casita Bonita", Larry and I had relaxing down time while we were in town for business. The room and amenities were more than expected and we had an amazing visit. Great restaurants are within walking distance and we suggest Fireside Pizza (meatball pizza) and The Refuge for coffee and breakfast (the egg sandwich). The pool called my name but we were rained out and cooler temperatures set in. I'm certain it is wonderful! Last but not least on our way out we received fresh lemons as a gift from Eileen and Michael - Thank you!
We LOVED our trip to the Casita Bonita in Phoenix. Eileen and Michael were so kind and welcoming, and they were quick to answer if we ever needed help. The kitchen is very accommodating to cooking (plenty of supplies), the bed is very comfortable (and I rarely feel that way!) and they have one of those rain shower heads in the bathroom, my favorite. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio everyday, and it really felt like it was our own little home for a few days. Thank you Michael and Eileen! We may just have to come back another time! :)

We love traveling and love having guests who love to travel! Of course, sampling foods from all over the world is one of the best parts. We are transplanted East Coasters who have been in Phoenix for nearly 20 years and will happily share our knowledge of the best places to eat, drink and play.
