We moved to Pilsen 4 years ago and never left, that's how much we love it!
If you have a car you have 90/94, 290, and I-55. All major highways. If you don't, there is CTA bus line and the L pink line walking distance as well.
Other Things to Note
You have 2 separate entrances to the building.
No smoking please. If you have pets when you leave try your best to clean if they shed a lot. Shoes to be left in entrance. We love our hardwood floors!
Leticia was a great host. She met us right on time and provided us with a great place to stay while in Chicago. She hooked us up with Lyft so we got a $25 free credit which was very helpful.
I enjoyed my time there. It was a very nice apartment, and Letty is very nice and friendly host! I would recommend my friends to stay there again
Letty was the perfect host. She was so helpful and accommodated us based on our schedule. The apartment was beautiful and just like the pictures. Public transport was close to the apartment and it was easy to use to get to the sights. A fantastic stay and highly recommended!
Letty is a very great host. She's really attentive to her guests and available to answer any question.
Letty's place is comfortable, close to pink line and bus line.
It's easy to go to downtown from her place.
Thanks again Letty.
So Paris is probably way nicer than Chicago....and I really do think I will end up there one day and think of you romance birds when I get there. Thank you for the bottle of wine. Very sweet of you both. My chalkboard Thank You on the chalkboard :) which I always take pictures of and for finding my ring lol. I was crazy crazy crazy looking for it. I could not remember what I did with it. Thank you again and best of luck with your future Airbnb hosts :)
The host was helpful and available as needed. Our main interaction was check-in and check-out, where she was flexible and accommodating. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The listing was fairly accurate and as described, except that there is only one bedroom (unless the kitchen or living room is counted twice), there was not private parking (detailed below), and an issue with the Wifi. However, this seemed to be a temporary problem. The host was apologetic and attempted to resolve it, though was unable to do so.
The negative aspects of our stay were the state of the apartment building and the immediate surrounding area, issues that were primarily outside of our host's control. Unfortunately, these aspects were a factor particularly at night, which was the main time we were at the apartment. Parking was hard to find at times, limited to what was available on the street. The listing said private parking, but we feel this was inaccurate. On both nights we were there, people on the street were loud late into the night. Other reviews about the noise were accurate. On the second night in particular, though, there was an altercation outside that sounded like it involved quite a few people and required the police. The next morning, the stairwell in the apartment building and the street outside had bottles and broken glass strewn about.
As travelers intending to spend the majority of our time seeing the city and return to primarily to rest and recharge, this apartment was not the best fit. However, we would consider renting from the host again if a more suitable venue were available.
The Hide Out was as lovely as the pictures. The place was clean and spacious. Leticia was incredibly helpful. When I reached out to her during the stay she replied right away. She greeted us at check in and answered all our questions about the apartment and Chicago since we were in town to do some sightseeing. The internet was down while we were there but other than that I had no problem in the place. As mentioned in other reviews there is some noise from cars but I had no problem sleeping. The place is near so many buses and the train. It was such a great experience that I had a hard time leaving!
Leticia was upfront and extremely accommodating, we enjoyed our stay very much, everything was just perfect. Thank you!
