The entry, with black onyx-style flooring and gilded ceiling, welcomes guests into this unique home. In the living room, stately French doors and windows span the wall of this bright space, inviting the outside in. On quiet evenings one can entertain around the 1904 Steinway Baby Grand “O” series piano or the 60″ flat screen TV while relaxing in front of the warmly blazing fireplace.
The kitchen’s whitewashed walls and Italian statuary marble set the stage for an unprecedented gourmet experience. A massive center island offers front row seating to oversee the culinary delights being created at the commercial-style range and with the professional appliances and amenities provided here. Even the most meticulous chef will find every tool needed to create even the most demanding dishes. A two-sided gas fireplace separates the kitchen from the formal dining room with seating for 10 at the unique round table.
French doors from the kitchen and dining room offer immediate access to the fully enclosed central courtyard. This courtyard is truly the heart of this unique home with its sparkling pool, and plenty of seating on iron chaise lounges with plush new cushions. The nearby outdoor kitchen, with seating for 10 at a built-in banquette-style mosaic table is a charming spot for a lavish sit-down dinner or a casual pool party buffet.
From the kitchen, stairs of exotic multi-colored hand-painted tiles ascend to the posh Master Suite on the second floor. Crisp white walls are the blank canvas to this fresh contemporary room of black and white with crimson accents. A balcony, reached through massive wood doors, acts as a loggia to watch activity in the pool courtyard below. With the sun setting on the ocean views beyond, one can take refuge on the lounges or suspended rope hammock and melt into one’s dreams.
The marble Master Bathroom is beautifully appointed with step-down bathtub with showerhead, mirrored vanity and views of the backyard.
Nearby Bedroom #2, vibrant with colored fabrics and pillows atop extra long twin beds, is designed as a quiet reading den or cozy sleeping quarters.
Downstairs, Bedroom #3, with California king bed, has French door access to the private outdoor hot tub. The addition of a queen sleeper sofa makes it perfect for families with small children that need to remain close.
The California king bed in Bedroom #4 faces the lush backyard, while more French doors offer immediate access to cool evening breezes or warm summer sunshine.
In both downstairs bathrooms, light streams through tall windows and reflects off cool marble to create bright spaces. Large open glass showers complete the picture for a spa-like experience.

The “Pool Room”, off the central courtyard, is a wonderfully versatile guest retreat. This stand-alone space with a private entrance and its own full bathroom can be used as a family game room or 5th Bedroom Suite with a custom handcrafted California king bed. The unique focal point of this entertaining room is the 1920 Brunswick tournament size pool table that was featured in a match between Minnesota Fats and Paul Newman in the movie “The Hustler”. Flanked by an abundance of large French doors on both sides, this room can be opened up on both sides to create a continuous flow from the pool courtyard to the large shady backyard.
Under magnificent oak trees, the grounds were designed by renowned architect Eric Nagelman. With massive boulders, native plants, and seasonal creek, the park-like setting speaks to the importance of preserving the natural landscape and is magnificently lit during evening hours. One can gather after sunset around the large open sand fire pit, or sneak away for a private soak in the hot tub under the stars. Kashmir echoes of faraway places.

The entire property is available exclusively for Guests. Guests have access to all rooms, the pool, Jacuzzi, fire pit, all lawn areas and the the Garden room with pool table. Owner is not on the property during stay.

Caretaker will be servicing the property twice a week and is on call for questions or in case of emergency.

Parties are not included in the day-rate and need approval by the owners.
Most importantly, please note that this property is located in a high-end residential area and all events need to be tailored to preserve the peaceful environment around us. There cannot be any loud music past 10PM outside and only reduced noise up to 12:30 AM inside. Cars should not leave later than 12:30.
If there is any dancing inside, a dance platform must be installed on the floors to protect the coating of the tiles.
The minimum rental period is 3 nights and the minimum additional charge for an event up to 30 people is $3000. Under certain circumstances a larger event (up to 50 people) can be negotiated with owners. The charge for each extra person past 30 is $100. Other restrictions might apply, especially in regards to parking and cleanup.
Renter also agrees to hire one of the landlord’s staff members for additional help for the event. The hourly charge for most stuff members is $25 (and $35 after 9PM) and staff will be required to stay till all non registered guests have left. The staff person will make sure that everything runs smoothly, the noise level is adequate and the house is left in a semi-clean condition.
Renters must stay at least one extra day after the party and insure that the house is back in normal condition. Furniture can only be moved by owner’s staff. Landlord’s representative reserves the right to inspect the property on the following afternoon to ensure that next guests are finding the house in optimum condition. Please note that this property is often rented back to back with only 5 hours of cleaning time between guests and it would be extremely difficult to make additional repairs during that time.
There will also be an additional security deposit of at least $3500 for special events.

My husband and I rented this beautiful home for our wedding weekend in Santa Barbara. The home is absolutely beautiful. It far exceeded my expectations. The furnishings were clean and stylish, art was beautiful. All the rooms were phenomenal, no guest will be disappointed. My guests were extremely impressed, and quite astonished by the beauty of the house. It was just a magical weekend. You'll find yourself curling up to one of the three fireplaces enjoying a glass of wine every night.
My friends and I decided to do our "Friendsgiving" at the house because it was the week before Thanksgiving, so of course everyone was crowded in the beautiful kitchen stirring up their beautiful dish. We then proceeded to have our formal dinner together at the beautiful round table. The surround sound is a great touch as well.
Every nook and cranny of the home just warms your belly. Surely no one will be unhappy here. Sebastian and his wife Cheryl were super easy to work with, and very understanding. Cheryl was the one to welcome us to the home, and gave a phenomenal recommendations for dinner that night.
An absolutely gorgeous home fully renovated with everything you need for a luxurious stay. The pictures capture the architecture and details wonderfully. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Kashimir and would highly recommend it as a lovely family or couples retreat. The bedding was luxurious as was the decor. The kitchen was well equipped for our group of 11. The fire pit and pool, exquisite. The hot tub was set to go but was comfortable for only 3 adults. Very private and beautifully maintained home and grounds.
