This 240 sq ft tiny house is situated on a serene 5 acre wooded property. Its a short drive to Hillsborough (10 min), Chapel Hill (15) and Durham (15).
I wanted to create a space where guests can take time to rest and reset. Stylish decor, art-filled walls, and a full list of amenities make for a unique and cozy experience of home away from home. Take a step outside and you'll be surrounded by old hardwood trees and the soothing sounds of nature that make life here so peaceful
The space
**Pet fee: There is a $20/pet fee for the first night, and then $15/per pet for additional nights (sorry, no cats!) Please add your dog when creating the reservation, and a request for any additional nights/dogs will be sent through Airbnb. Dogs are not allowed in/on the bed.
**Early check in/late check out: An earlier check in or a later check out might be able to be accommodated for an extra fee ranging from $15-25 depending on how early or late the check in/check out. Please let me know if you need this and we can sort out the details
We utilized all 240 square feet of this tiny house to create a modern tiny home that has all the functionality of a normal sized home.
The home contains a few distinct 'rooms': The lower part of the house contains the kitchen, living room and a couple of work/dining spaces. Cozy up in the living room with a selection of books and magazines, a TV with Roku, bluetooth speakers and a comfy sof The sofa can fold out as a bed for additional guests. A small alcove near the living room houses functions as a work space with a live edge desk and office chair.
Next to the living room is the kitchen, with quartz countertops and open shelving. As an avid cook myself, I do my best to provide guests with everything they would need to prepare and cook meals. The kitchen is equipped with a double burner induction cooktop, convection oven, blender, food processor, quality pots and pans, new knives, and utensils. A large collection of spices and oils are also at your disposal. For coffee lovers, a Breville coffee maker and Capresso espresso machine help you to prepare a quality cup of your liking. Guests can grab from a basket containing a variety of gourmet snacks and fruits. We’ve also stocked the fridge with condiments, almond milk, seltzer water, butter, jam, etc :)
A couple of stairs lead you up to a spacious tiled bathroom. The shower has plenty of hot water and good pressure. The toilet is a normal flush toilet. A variety of quality toiletries is provided for guests, as well as a hair dryer and soft, plush towels.
One more step leads you into the warm and cozy nest of the bedroom. Windows pour natural night into the room and offer views of the entire property. I chose mellow colors to create a peaceful, relaxing room for guests to unwind. Good sleep is so important. You'll catch plenty of z's atop super soft linens and a Nectar foam mattress.
In the evenings, strings of patio lights create a warm and romantic ambience on the deck outside. Or you can turn them off and enjoy the vivid starry nights out here. Guests are also welcome to use the propane grill and the firepit just a few steps away!

***NO SMOKING: Smoking of any sort inside the house is not allowed and if any smoke odor is detected guests will be charged a $150 cleaning fee to mitigate the smell. Guests may smoke outside on the patio.
