Otis is the best town for a visit to the Berkshires. It is close to all the places you would want to visit like Jacob's Pillow, Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum to start with. It is also close to hiking trails, swimming, shopping and great restaurants. This wonderful three plus bedroom home is located on the backside of Otis Ridge Ski Area. Wake up and take a walk on the ridge or just sit outside and have your morning beverage with the woods surrounding you.

The space
The house is set up for gathering and privacy. The central part of the home has a open living and dining room. There is a loft upstairs for more sleeping or a playroom for the kids. We have just added an office area in the loft as well. One end of the house has the master bedroom and bath with it's own access to the backyard. The other end has two bedrooms and a shared bath.
The kitchen should have everything you need to cook a meal. There is an outside eating area with a gas grill. Washer and dryer in the basement. We have Wi Fi.

Guest access
The home is yours to use but please be mindful of neighbors and animals in the area. There are turkeys, fox, deer and an occasional bear. The noises you hear at night are probably owls and coy dogs. The neighbors are quiet.

Other things to note
If you would like to stay at a ski in/out home but the Pinnacle House is booked please look at the Ridge House which is located at the base of Otis Ridge….a little smaller but just as nice!

You are in the perfect place to explore the Berkshires and all it has to offer. Local attractions are Jacob’s Pillow, Tanglewood, The Mount, Norman Rockwell Museum, Berkshire Museum and Berkshire Botanical Gardens. You can hike the Appalachian Trail and a few more local trails like the Cobble in Tyringham, Ken’s Way and Beartown State Forest in Monterey. Local swimming is at Tolland State Forest and York Lake in Sandisfield. There are ropes course at Bousquet and Ramblewild in Hancock. In the winter, you can ski at Otis Ridge, Butternut, Blandford, Bousquet and Jiminy Peak. There are plenty of places to snowshoe and cross county ski as well.

My work: Retired teacher
Life has been an adventure since retirement. The Pinnacle House has been a pleasure to renovate for a home away from home for people to enjoy. I was a teacher for 30 plus years and live right around the corner. My husband and I ski in the winter and play in the summer riding motorcycles and taking rides in the boat on Otis Reservoir, just started to play golf also! We have 2 adult girls who work in the ski business. We love living in the Berkshires and hope you enjoy visiting.
