The Neighborhood

I love the art and vibrance of Pilsen. It is such a tight knit community; when you're here, you feel it. And the more you visit other neighborhoods, the more apparent it is. I love the convenience, how close it is to downtown, how easy the busses are and how easy it is to bike anywhere I want from here.

  • We had a great stay at Aaron's place...Thank you for everything, he's always ready to help you. We enjoyed our stay with him and "Sneakers" too ;) The location is close to Buses, metro station and a lot of restaurants and services all around. This place is called Pilsen (Mexican neighbourhood).
Aaron has a cool philosophy : "Be yourself"! and he is !
The appartment is clean and you can use the opened kitchen and have a break in the sofa with "Sneakers" the cat. Well, we want to come back as soon as possible !
Thanks so much Aaron for your human being and hope to see you in France, you're welcome !

  • We had a really good stay with Aaron. Our room & beds were very nice, and Aaron was a great host. He has some great tips for exploring the Pilsen neighborhood. Public transportation is very convenient - there's a bus stop at the corner that can connect you to anywhere you want to go. It was just what we wanted and expected and I recommend it.

  • Great apto, nice host! Comfortable room, beds, bathroom and living room. His cat is adorable and he gave us a bunch of information about the area around the apto and the city. Less than 10 min walking to the pink line metro station. Totally worth the money!

  • We enjoyed staying with Aaron. He is a very likeable and interesting person and is super laid back. The apartment was nice, we had access to everything and the neighborhood had lots to offer as well

  • The apartment was cozy and clean and fully available for us. We came early but Aaron allowed us to leave our luggage. He was very friendly and easy-going, took us for a walk to show us his beloved city. The communication with him was very efficient and pleasant. There was nothing negative I could mention, me and my friends enjoyed our stay vastly, however, we can't get over the fact that we won't be able to cuddle with Sneakers, the cat, anymore!

  • The apartment was very clean and in a safe neighbourhood. We wanted to check in pretty late but Aaron was very accommodating with our time. Aaron is a great host and is truly passionate about his city. The bed itself was super soft and comfy. Sneakers the cat is the friendliest cat I have met to date. Would recommend this place to anyone.

  • This was the best place for my friend and I to stay with our kids while checking out Chicago. Instead of a possibly bed bug ridden hotel, we got a comfy room with super soft comforters, use of a kitchen, and a backyard for the kids to play in the snow a bit. (Plus, the other Airbnb listings for Chicago either weren't as close to downtown or charged as much as a regular hotel with all their added fees.) When we arrived, Aaron helped us with our luggage and to find local transit, then he finished making sure the place was clean and that new sheets were on our beds before he went out for a bit. He is really friendly, and was very understanding about our kids being in his home. Sneakers the cat really likes the guest room so she visited us often, and the kids loved her. Public transportation isn't far from Aaron's, but we learned that it was much better to just drive our car (at least in the cold weather with two kids and a stroller). When I make another trip to Chicago I will definitely check out Aaron's place on Airbnb first before I look for somewhere else to stay.

  • Staying at Aaron's was a great experience. The room is very comfy, the neighborhood in which he lives is very nice (if you like street art, mexican food and nice cafes). Aaron is a great host : he's very welcoming and has good addresses in the city.
