This was the best place for my friend and I to stay with our kids while checking out Chicago. Instead of a possibly bed bug ridden hotel, we got a comfy room with super soft comforters, use of a kitchen, and a backyard for the kids to play in the snow a bit. (Plus, the other Airbnb listings for Chicago either weren't as close to downtown or charged as much as a regular hotel with all their added fees.) When we arrived, Aaron helped us with our luggage and to find local transit, then he finished making sure the place was clean and that new sheets were on our beds before he went out for a bit. He is really friendly, and was very understanding about our kids being in his home. Sneakers the cat really likes the guest room so she visited us often, and the kids loved her. Public transportation isn't far from Aaron's, but we learned that it was much better to just drive our car (at least in the cold weather with two kids and a stroller). When I make another trip to Chicago I will definitely check out Aaron's place on Airbnb first before I look for somewhere else to stay.
Staying at Aaron's was a great experience. The room is very comfy, the neighborhood in which he lives is very nice (if you like street art, mexican food and nice cafes). Aaron is a great host : he's very welcoming and has good addresses in the city.
Nice place, really friendly guy and a cute cat :)
Aaron was an awesome host.(Plus Sneakers the cat as a bonus!) He has a super cool bike and clearly knows how to live right.
- Great communication.
- He was happy to share recommendations about his neighborhood. (Restaurants, bakeries, etc)
- The two queen beds comfortably fit our family and provided a quiet night's sleep.
- Free on-street parking.
- Super convenient to the 18th St. Pink line train that takes you to downtown Chicago.
I look forward to our paths crossing again.
Aaron is a wonderful nice guy! Stay at his place is just like being your own place! His kitty sneaker is an adorable cat that likes to be pat on her back! He also provide lots attractions where nearby to go! Btw, the bed is the most soft one that I ever sleep!
Our flight was cancelled before we arrived the airport. So we need to stay in Chicago one more day, and Aaron replied me in a second! Thanks for his generosity! He is the best one Airbnb in Chicago!
It is a very open space/apartment, the guestroom has two huge beds (160x200 I think), one bed is a loft bed, both is very comfortable!
Everything is very clean and Aaron is a very very nice host! He gave us a "guide" on good places to visit, bars, restaurants etc. You can even call him when you are out looking for something and get guidance from him which bus to take etc, very helpful and fun to hang out with too! I wish we had more days to spend over there, would definitely love to come back if we visit Chicago in the future. :)
Aaron was a wonderful host for my brother and I. A stay at his place is highly recommended!
My in-laws had a great time staying at Aaron's place. Aaron went out of his way to make their visit really agreeable over the holidays. The space was clean and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying at Aaron's.
Aaron's place is located in the wonderful Pilsen area, with easy access to downtown via Pink line or bus 60 and close proximity to Midway airport via a transfer to orange line. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed Aaron's place, very well-designed, rustic and it seemed like Aaron put a lot of effort designing and making his own furniture too! Aaron has a wonderful cat companion, Sneakers; she lets herself be known when she's hungry but doesn't bother you otherwise. Very well trained cat! Pilsen is safe area and great for exploring Mexican cuisine!! Aaron is very generous with heating the apartment, so no worries in winter!
