  • Great place and people, definitely nothing like a "normal" hostel, the atmosphere is more like sharing a house with young professionals.

The house is clean, with a lot of space and a blazingly fast wifi connection.

Also, it's fairly close to a (asphalt) trail running for miles across the vally, a great perk if you are a runner.

  • Have stayed with Jocelyn before and both times have had a great experience.. A couple of notes. If you are not a techie, you will probably not enjoy the company or the rules. This is a hacker house for sure. That being said....A hacker house is what I was looking for.

  • My third Chez JJ stay. Jade, Jocelyn, and Alicia have been fantastic hosts. The other guests are always friendly, work on interesting projects, and are fun to talk with.

  • Great stay, the people, both hosts and guests, were very nice, as is the area in general. The culture is very hacker-friendly, and the discussions (as well as the people you meet) tend to be very interesting :)

    Awesome experience overall!

  • It's always enjoyable and entertaining to stay at Chez JJ. Nice, new place (fruit trees also), good company (and nice!), and interesting conversation!

I'm from Tennessee originally, but I've travelled a bit. I'm was an electrical engineer and operations research engineer for Toyota prior to getting back into programming and starting a company. I have a two-year old golden retriever that is adorable. I love eating different and unique foods from many countries. Any questions, feel free to ask away :D
