  • It was a peaceful and quiet vacation with little surprises made by Kostas. Kostas is a very friendly and sincere host. The house is cosy and clean. It is small but equipped with everything you need. We were delighted to taste the delicious home made bread, jam and cheese mede by Kostas himself and the tasty wine from Greece was a real treat. The house is at the heart of the city and almost everything is within walking distance. If you do not like to walk, taxis are available at very reasonable prices. We had no problem with the internet. If you want to discover Thessaloniki, Kostas' house is the ideal place to stay.

I am agriculturist and like traveling, urban exploring, cycling, sailing by catamaran, slow food, wine, ouzo, raki, mouhabet (to be with friends), fados, swing, greek traditional music, opera, led zeppelin, cheesemaking, bread baking, fancy poultry Wine routes. From the shorefront of the Thermaikos bay to high up on the mountains of the region and back down to the plains, the area of Thessaloniki is home of many famous wines. In the mountainous parts of the region, on the southeast slope of Vertiskos, just before the traditional settlement of Ossa, the vineyards are stretched amidst clumps of oak, beech and chestnut trees. Alongside the vineyards, sites of archeological interest, exquisite churches, monasteries and museums await for the demanding traveller. The Thessaloniki Route wineries are: Domaine Gerovassiliou in Epanomi and the Babatzimopoulos’ winery in Ossa Lagada. Price per person: 70 euros. Up to four people.
