Welcome to my home which is located on 2.5 acres within 81 miles of the North rim of the Grand Canyon (open from mid May to November), 77 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park, 32 miles from Zion National Park and 65 miles Lake Powell as well as day trips to many other natural wonders. This is a sight seers paradise that is an easy drive from Las Vegas Nevada where rental cars can be gotten at the airport on arrival.
My home is spacious and as complete as you would find your own with a guest bath and master bath, two queen beds, full kitchen and laundry, A/C, pool table, stereo and satellite TV. Linens, towels and paper products are supplied.
Kanab city is a quiet tourist town where you can still see the occasional rancher or cowboy walking along the street. Often known as little Hollywood it was the site of the filming of many old western movies and now hosts an event every August called Western Legends where you can meet such old move stars as Clint Walker. It has pleasant restaurants, coffee shops and a hospital if the need were to arise.
As I have an intimate knowledge of the back country I can supply you with directions and ideas to sights off the beaten track, or possibly take you along on one of my little adventures.
Motorcycle rentals are available in Las Vegas NV and Washington UT from Harley Davidson and I will be available to show you around the area on my motorcycle if you like.

Lovely, very well equipped 2 bedroom home. Don was very friendly and willing to share his extensive local knowledge.
Perfect experience. Don was friendly and welcoming. House was beautiful, immaculately clean, and perfect for enjoying the area. Windows everywhere and little artifacts that make you want to explore. Comfortable bed, fabulous shower, definitely a home away from home. Great location to explore Zion and other gorgeous sites around Utah and Arizona. Don was very helpful in recommending spots that took us off the beaten path and into some of the most wonderful places we've ever seen. Kanab is an adorable, quiet little town with everything you need to load up on food and fuel, etc.
Additionally, we forgot an important item at the house and Don sent it out priority the next day, much appreciated!! Great guy, great home, can't say enough good things!
Don's house meets every aspect of how it is described in the listing. It is meticulously clean, spacious, comfortable, a great location to explore around UT and AZ national parks. His collections and displays are like a mini-museum. His welcoming and friendly personality made us feel at home right away.
Kanab is small city but has everything you need from fine dining to grocery shopping.
Thank you Don for letting us enjoy your beautiful home. You are a wonderful host. We will certainly recommend you to our friends.
The reservation was canceled 38 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Don was a wonderful host and his home a lovely place to enjoy kanab. beautiful views from indoors and out. wonderful art in the home. only few blocks (walkable) from town. we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Don is happy to give you as much or as little
touring info as you want. highly recommended.
Our host Don greeted us warmly and eagerly supplied us an ample information to make our stay in the Southern Utah area a memorable one. He made sure we were very comfortable and welcome in his beautiful home, which we were. Dons recommendations for hikes were great and helped us to avoid the tourist crowds which we hoped to do. The listing for Dons home was very accurate. It was beautiful, warm and comfortable with everything you need to have a great stay. The shower is the best thing ever after a day of hiking. The view from his home is amazing with golden rays of sunshine pouring in during the sunrise and the huge harvest moon rising in the evening over the red/orange mountains. Very picturesque. Thanks Don for letting us enjoy your home!!
My husband and I stayed at Don's lovely home for a week. Prior to arriving, Don was always available and informative. His home is nestled between buttes that afford amazing views. Believe every picture that he offers on his site. The house is wonderfully comfortable, and Don went out of his way to make sure that my husband and I enjoyed our visit. He is a fountain of information and a very easy-going man. We loved his dogs, who could be as involved in your stay as you want. We made a lovely friend and hope to be back some day.
