Trastevere the dense area across the river, is considered by many to be Rome's most authentic neighborhood, teeming with street life and overflowing with local color. At night, both natives and tourists alike flock to its many pubs and restaurants. The unique character of this neighborhood has attracted artists, foreign expats, and many famous people.
Step outside your door and find Baroque fountains, medieval churches, Imperial Roman temples and the shops, restaurants and people which lead people to call Rome a big "village". Trastevere maintains its character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses.
Just to the north of Trastevere is the medieval Borgo neighborhood, characterized by the powerful presence of the Vatican City and Castel S. Angelo. Both areas are ideal for those who want their stay in Rome to have more of a local flavor. Cross the river and in five minute walk you reach Piazza Navona and Piazza Venezia.
From the B&B you can reach within walking distance the following sites:
CAMPO DE' FIORI
SANTA MARIA IN TRASTEVERE
ACCADEMIA NAZIONALE DEI LINCEI
MUSEO D'ARTE ANTICA GALLERIA CORSINI
OSPEDALE SANTO SPIRITO
OSPEDALE BAMBIN GESU'
OSPEDALE FATE BENE FRATELLI
JOHN CABOT UNIVERSITY

The Loft is a beautiful, centrally located and well maintained space. Very stylish decor, comfortable bed, functioning hot water, and the kitchen has all the things one needs to cook a meal, make coffee, etc. Highly recommended!
Wonderful, wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about The Loft or about our host Elisabetta.
The location is perfect. Far enough out of the city center to have that neighborhood feel, but still an easy walk to the Vatican and the Forum.
Trastevere is full of wonderful little restaurants and shops and wine bars, and Elisabetta knows all the best ones and is happy to share her knowledge with you.
The apartment itself is charming: a cosy home with two, very comfortable, double beds and a little kitchen for cooking the occasional meal. The decor is a little bit funky, a little bit classic, and lot welcoming.
When it was time to leave, Elisabetta arranged for a car to come pick us up and take us to the airport - no stressful final morning for us!
Everything here was perfect, from the location, to the apartment to the view. There's no question that if we ever make it back to Rome, we'll be staying with Elisabetta again.
The Loft at Ancient Trastevere was definitely my and my husband's favorite sleeping arrangements we had for our whole two week tour of Europe. We only stayed in Rome for 2 nights this time, but we definitely know where we want to stay when we come back for a longer period someday! Elisabetta was wonderful. She set up a private cab to pick us up at the airport and welcomed us at the apartment to show us around. She was very helpful, printing out maps of the city with key points of interest, bus instructions, and restaurant recommendations. We loved the restaurants-all places that the Romans go, as she told us. We didn't feel as if we had walked into tourist-trap restaurants.
The location was perfect. Non-touristy and just west of the Tiber River, it was walking distance to most places.
The beautiful, open loft had everything we needed. It was plenty of space for us, and I'm sure it would have been plenty spacious still if we'd brought 2 other family members. It was cozy, romantic, and very functional. The bed was very comfortable. Elisabetta provided everything needed for coffee, juice, and toast, which is really all you need to eat for breakfast in Italy. I even left the American coffee pot on the shelf and tried out the stovetop espresso maker. (Loved it! I will be purchasing one for use in my own home.)
As this was my first airbnb experience, I appreciate that Elisabetta helped make it a wonderful experience. Thanks, Elisabetta!
Elisabetta's LOFT ist original like the fotos you see on air bnb - I had a great time in rome and the next time I make a trip to Rome I will only stay at this LOFT again. It is in the most beautiful quarter of the city. I didn't need any bus or train or metro because you can go to all sights by feet and you can walk everything. Elisabetta is a very heartly helpful person - she is so great and awrsome helpful! Thank you very much Elisabetta - i will recommend your Loft to all my friends! Heartly regards. Carina
I warmly recommend Elisabettas place The Loft. Easy welcoming from the host, no stress, rustique atmosphere and all you need for nice simple breakfast & coffee is integrated. The heat was perfectly on in cold January.
Even though I dont bother noises from the street and around, I understand that some might react on this.
Good recommendings printed out for you, and perfect location for you who want to live in cosy Trastevere. Perfect for girlfriends and couples :)
