I have a delightful and unique one-bedroom apartment in the heart of Williamsburg. Two televisions, internet, a stereo to plug your computer/ipod into, and a small record player. We have lots of records and books, an AC, working kitchen. You name it!
The bedroom has a comfortable Queen size bed, but there's room for others if you bring your own air mattress.
The apartment is railroad style, but feels very specious. There is a kitchen area, a living room space, an office/vanity room, and a bedroom. Please see photos!
There's a place to do laundry, send mail, delis, cafes literally around the corner. Some of Williamsburg's best restaurants and bars are just blocks away. Parking in the area is also a breeze!
The L train is a short walk away, as is the J.
L train is a few stops away and so is the J.
I have received only two negative reviews out of many, and they are ALWAYS from elderly guests so if you're planning on visiting your daughter/son in Williamsburg, I would recommend the Wythe Hotel - or spend the extra hundred a day on one of the newer buildings.
Also please do not knock on my neighbors door as airbnb is not allowed in most buildings in NYC.

Other Things to Note
I have received two or three negative reviews out of MANY, and they are ALWAYS from elderly guests or folks who do not understand that airbnb is not a hotel. So, if you're planning on visiting your daughter/son in Williamsburg, or you need someone to clean up after you, I would recommend spending a lot more money on the Wythe Hotel - or spend the extra hundred or two a day on one of the newer buildings.
The neighbors here are pretty relaxed but generally it's best not to play loud music after 11PM.
The reservation was canceled 133 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Zohra's place was cute and quaint. Great neighbourhood. My friend and I enjoyed staying there for the weekend.
I would have liked if it were cleaner, but the stay was pleasant despite this detail.
Convenient spot in Brooklyn, cozy one bedroom. Zach and Zohra were friendly and helpful in coordinating our arrival. Most exquisite LP collection you can imagine. We had a great stay!
To say we had a great experience would be an understatement. Zack and Zohra went above and beyond to accommodate us, especially with a blizzard rolling in and the possibility of being stranded.
We felt right at home, especially surrounded by records and comics, and had a great chat with Zack about people and places we both know. We would stay again in a heartbeat, but honestly, we'd rather MOVE in!
We were met by the very friendly host at the apt for an orientation and the keys. The location was great for us with easy access to the L train and local markets and restaurants.
Many thanks to Zack and Zohra for making me feel so welcome. There were a few problems (mostly weather-related; NYC in January is very cold), but Zack handled everything promptly and completely. My stay was comfortable, a local bus took me straight to my daughter's apartment within two blocks, and the neighbourhood had restaurants and a good supermarket within walking distance. Thanks for making my visit to my newborn grandchild possible! I would book it again in a heartbeat.
Ok! Our experience at Zohra and Zacks was unique. There were lots of pluses and a few minuses. Starting with the positive. Zack was super welcoming and very easy to communicate with before we arrived. Giving us great directions and clear messages really helped and made us feel like we were headed to a great spot. He let us come a few hours early, very cool, and upon arrival He gave us tons of advice about the area. Great hosts really help make the trip so cheers to Zack for his awesomeness.
The actual apartment is a good sized space for two people. I'm pretty sure it hasn't seen a renovation or paint job in 40 years, but if you don't mind that (we didn't) you'll be fine. It should also be noted that this a
listing is one if the cheapest options in Williamsburg that accommodates 2 so you can't expect modern comforts. For this apartment you are paying for the location and the value, for sure. It was a quick 5 minute walk to a few metro stops, and a ten minute walk to all the cool hipster was of Williamsburg.
Oh and Zack even left us a bottle if red wine! Very sweet.
During our stay we did notice a few cleanliness issues. The place was pretty dusty and dare I say, grimy in spots. We agreed that it reminded us more of staying with old friends who maybe felt comfy leaving the place a little "lived in". Not the worst thing in the world but if your standard of living is extra - super- clean, you may be bothered by this.
So in conclusion , if you are low maintenance peeps ( we are ) who value a friendly face and good vibes over squeaky cleanliness, and you prefer cheap traveling in authentic neighbourhoods and apartments rather than touristy spots and chic hotels, this place is a great choice.
If dust and possibly-not-clean sheets freaks you out, try elsewhere. :)
Hey! Thanks for the generally positive response! I won't argue with your point of view because you're not being at all rude...just want to reassure you that the sheets were clean. We would NEVER ever ever give dirty sheets. That would be, you know, gross. Just so you know! Thanks again and you're always welcome.
