About this listing
Welcome to my beautiful yet simple apartment in the world's greatest city: San Francisco! My apartment is located at pacific height area with great city view, 3 minutes hike up lafayette park you will have panoramic view of San Francisco, including Golden Gate Bridge! My apt has two large rooms, each has a bed. I recently placed a brand new queen sized bed in the larger room (one with a tree view right outside), with super comfy foam mattress; there is a comfortable hallway, a dinning room, two spacious walk-in closets, 1 bath room, 1 kitchen. There is a backdoor to exit the apartment from kitchen to the on site laundry facility.
The location is great, just a few blocks from unpretentious, sophisticated fillmore district - a quintessential San Francisco classic neighborhood.
Additional three things making my place standout:
1. The extra large rooms: its 30% larger than 95% of the apartment in my area
2. The view: sweeping view of hays valley, Japan town, twin tower all the way to the inner sunset area. breathtaking!
3. Privacy: with the view comes with the privacy, no neighbor peeking, well I lied, maybe a few hummingbirds.
The entire apartment is available. Both rooms have great privacy and view. The apt is in a beautiful Victorian style apt building built in 1920s, it has all the details from only the best craftsman work. There are even four little smily angels' faces at each room's roof corner.
Hope I have done some justification for this apartment. I love traveling to other countries and regions so I completely embrace people with an adventurous spirit.
You are really paying for the comfort of my apartment and location of it. This apartment is my bachelor pad, so there is not much amenity there, but everything is clean and most things you will ever need for a few days are already there. Unless you are Kardasians, obviously;)
Other Things to Note
I prefer to rent it to one couple or family members, or one individual. I prefer not to rent to coworkers or friends who are on a tour or just visit the city.
Shoes off; No dirty dishes in the sink; Definitely no smokers; No pets. These are the building rules; no gathering of crowd; no parties. It's a quiet building with mostly young professionals.
Grant's appartment is great! Clean, confortable and very well located! Our stay in SF was really awesome. Grant was expecting us at check in and was really attencious showing the appartment. Grant also gave us some tips of SF which was really cool!
Grant made us feel really welcome. His place has some great views. The neighbourhood had many great eating places especially in Polk St. We loved being able to use the California cable car as it was three blocks away and not as busy as the other lines.
Very nice place to stay and very central to visit SF. Grant was a perfect host, he provides us many advices (running tour, restaurants, ...). We enjoy our trip in SF!
Conveniently located. Fantastic view! Grant was very helpful and was easy to deal with. I would stay again!
Great Time in SF! Grant's flat was perfectly located to explore the city! I am definitly comin back to this place!!
Great location, very big and quiet unit, nice views from LR and BR. No frills place but Grant is a good host-easy to communicate with before the reservation.
Stayed 3 weeks in Grants Apartment. The communication with Grant and location was great.

About the Host, Jan
About me: I am nature/animal/food/discovery/travel/history channels fan and a very outdoorsy guy. I've been in the startup world since summer 2011, In addition to running asmalltrip, I'm also a business partner at an insanely bad assed mobile video startup .
I often can be found on Fillmore street tasting delicious latte, playing soccer, running around, sunbathing at the park when it's sunny, no wind, and warm, or windsurfing when it's windy and warm. I love playing guitar and sing at the same time. Previously I was once hooked with "behind the moon" by Matt Costa, and "she moves her way" by the kooks, and of course "(tonight) we are young" by fun; My favorite guitar playing songs include "fireworks" whitest boy alive, "Down" jason walker, show me what im looking for by Carolina Liar. I am especially impressed with Band of horses, and recently obsessed with "the Wolves" by Ben Howard.
An update on favorite musics: my newest favorite singer song writer group is a great new world, and their song "say something" and "I don't wanna love somebody else", "already home".
