Welcome to Lighty’s Roost. Centrally located in walkable Wedgewood-Houston, one of Nashville's favorite neighborhoods for locals & visitors alike with its industrial-chic Southern charm and nationally acclaimed restaurants, bars, bakeries, distilleries, breweries, galleries, fam friendly museums & historical sites—all within walking distance. Lighty's Roost is only a 5-10 min drive to Honky Tonks, Gulch, Music Row, Vandy, 12 South, Nissan Stadium, East Nashville, and the Convention Center.

The space
Our stand-alone home, prized location, attention to detail, OMG design, and spacious 2,300 sq-ft open layout (+chef’s kitchen) make Lighty's Roost both a one-of-a-kind creative space AND a pitch-perfect retreat in one of America’s most trending + iconic cities. You will LOVE this house because we LOVE this house, and it shows. WE SPEND WELL ABOVE THE STANDARD on cleaning costs in Nashville and while we cover this fee ourselves as the price of doing business, we may charge guests a cleaning fee for early check-ins / late check-outs, or if excessive cleaning is required after a stay. With all the love we put into this home, we ask that you treat Lighty's Roost as you would your own.

You have the entire home all to yourselves, with fully-equipped kitchen, laundry room, two car parking pad out back & street parking in front, WiFi, Cable. While our guests, Lighty’s Roost is your Roost.

Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE—Lighty's Roost has two bedrooms on the second floor and one queen bedroom on the first floor. We also have a Murphy bed on the second floor that we only outfit with linens if we're notified in advance. As outlined in our House Rules, an extra fee applies for the Murphy bed if your group has more than five guests.

Our highest priority at Lighty’s Roost has always been to go above & beyond to make our guests feel safe & comfortable. Our professional cleaning crew operates under the strictest sanitation guidelines, utilizing eco-friendly + CDC approved products & instruction. PLUS our HVAC system comes with two UV air purifiers for that extra peace of mind. WE SPEND WELL ABOVE THE STANDARD cleaning costs in Nashville.

We fully comply with all city & state short-term rental laws and enforce all of our house rules. As such, we require all guests to answer our mandatory pre-booking questions.

John (AKA Lighty) is a freelance advertising creative and Tennessee transplant who moved to Nashville from San Francisco. As a freelancer, John lived the nomad life jumping from project to project, city to city until Elisabeth’s job in the music industry brought her out to CA where their paths serendipitously crossed. Elisabeth is where the local cred comes into play having lived in Nashville for 20 years now (not a second more because she doesn’t like "to date" herself). It’s Elisabeth who knows the ins-and-outs of Music City and, as an OG member of the Tin Roof mafia, quite possibly every single person in town both civilian & celeb alike. But wait, here’s where their story comes full circle: John & Elisabeth grew up in the same town and even went to the same high school, but they never actually got to know each other until their first face-to-face date in West Hollywood (WeHo for short). So when John started hunting for their Nashville dream house, only the neighborhood of Wedgewood-Houston (also WeHo for short) would do. Couple that with their shared passion for travel, the endless quest for tasty food, and all forms of hospitality—including the Southern variety—and what you get with Lighty’s Roost is a true labor of love.
