The neighbourhood on the Grand Canal is very active with people walking dogs, fishing and generally enjoying the lovely vista along the canal. There are a number of nice restaurants in the area. it is within walking distance of the city centre and the Grand canal dock which has theatres ,restaurants, bars.
The are many buses available from Harolds Cross Bridge including the number 16 which goes directly to and from the airport. The stop is about a five minutes walk from the house and is the cheapest transport to the airport. All the buses go to the city centre. there is free street parking
No smoking allowed inside the house , however guests can smoke outside in the back garden.
Marie was very welcoming and friendly. The house was as described and was cosy and homely. There was a Tesco Metro nearby which was very handy. We were able to walk to the city centre from the house. We really appreciated facilities such as coffee machine, WiFi and access to Net Flicks.
We had a nice week in Marie's lovely house. The house is just like the photos, very cosy living room, clean and comfortable bed and dormitorio. We felt totally relaxed. We'd like to go back if we have chances.
We came to Ireland for my 40th..first stop was Dublin to meet several friends. The house was lovely & perfect. If you're a walker...you can get to all within 3 miles or download halio and cabs were about 6-10 euros. Loved having the living room and Netflix for hanging at home. When we come back...we'd love to stay again!
We did not see Marie but her daughter showed us the house. We had a nice stay, the house has everything you need ad is not too far from the city center (10 mn by bus). Nice for a family!
Marie was extremely welcoming. She told us where everything was and suggested places to go. She was very helpfull about all our questions. The house was very beautiful and cosy. It was only a few minutes to the bus and only 20-30 min walk away from the city center. Depending on how fast you walk. We didn't mind it.
We probably stayed in the house more then the city because of the relaxing backyard.
We would definitely book this house again when we come back again to Dublin.
We absolutely love this home! Marie was so welcoming and so was the house. We especially loved that we were able to be in a not so busy part of Dublin, while still having easy access into the city center by Luas or bus. It was worth it for us to rent a home instead of a hotel because we were able to make some of our own meals and save money that way. I would reccomend this home!
