Interaction with Guests
As much as is appropriate. We live here and would like our guests to feel at home with us.
There is a beach one mile away and lovely views and walks. At the other end of the village is an attractive playground, situated within a large park with animals enclosures, a museum and a café.
There are 6 golf courses within 5 minutes drive from the house, including the world famous 'The Island'.
Near our house is a late opening small supermarket/convenience shop, as well as a butchers, pharmacy, hairdressers and a gym with a cafè.
There is a bus stop by the house and a nearby train station and we have guest bicycles.
Other Things to Note
We have a nice garden and a patio area available to our guests. We have spare bicycles in case guests want to cycle to the nearby beach or park. We welcome everybody, young, old, white, yellow, black, red, gay, trans, Martian, Klingon, etc. Maybe not Romulans though...
No shoes in the house please (slippers available). No smoking in the house of course.
To my mind this place is the best location for staying not far away from Dublin. It is easy to get to Dublin by train. There are also the places of interest in Donabate. For example, a large park with animals is there. The room was cosy and clean. There was everything in the kitchen for cooking. Agnes is very hospitable. And She is ready to help in every situation. And thank You for calling a taxi!
Agnes and Nick were great hosts, very friendly, and provided us with everything we needed. The room was comfortable and clean, with all the information on the town, transport links, restaurants which was very useful. The town is a little quiet, but there's a nice beach, with a restaurant overlooking it.
Nick & Agnes were brilliant hosts ! Wonderful room, nice place & very tidy. They gave us all informations we needed & Agnes took us for a trip to the beach together with little Yvi. We can recommend them 100 % to everyone who wants to stay at a wonderful place where you could feel like home.
The whole family of Nick has made us feel friendly welcome. It was all very well organized and we had everything ... We were also familiarized with the area and could use the guest bicycles, which was fun: O)
It was very great, thanks ...
Agnes and Nick are wonderful hosts: considerate, simple and flexible. We had full access to their lovely home, the living room to watch Soccer World Cup, the kitchen to prepare dinner and dining room to have great conversations with Agnes, Nick and their lovely two-year old daughter, Ivy (not sure about the exact spelling). Agnes provided a lot of practical information and took us on a bicycle tour along the beautiful beaches and coastlines nearby. We took the bus outside the house to downtown Dublin and local train to Howth village, both took less than an hour each way with great views of the countryside and coastlines.
My kids and I really enjoyed our stay with this cosy family! Nice room and beautiful beach nearby. We would love to come back!
Me and my family stayed at Nick and Agnes' house for 4 nights. It was great having access to the kitchen and using the bikes, which is fantastic when one enjoys cycling along the coast line while admiring the blessed nature of Ireland!
Everything in the house was very clean and organised, would no doubt recommend this on AirBnB!
