A beautiful space in the middle of a chestnuts forest, in Monte Amiata, Tuscany, surrounded by nature and history.
Situated between Castel del Piano and Seggiano, in the gorgeous valley named Conca d'Oro, really nearby the famous Val D'Orcia.
The room is part of an ancient and traditional restored stone cottage with a huge history of storing and drying chestnuts in the past, long time ago...

The space

Terra delle Sidhe is a small organic farm located in southern Tuscany overlooking a beautiful valley located on the slopes of Monte Amiata, between the medieval towns of Castel del Piano and Seggiano.

The landscape has the peculiarity of a typical natural forest and the diversified productivity typical of organic farms.

The estate is spread over three acres of chestnut trees, IGP marroniAmiata, a precious olive variety of DOP Olivastra Seggianese and cherry trees over a hundred years old.

A rich variety of fruit trees, medicinal plants, a biodynamic garden, chestnut flour, extra virgin olive oil, natural soaps, delicious teas and jams complete the range of organic products produced on our farm.

Guest access

Excellent free internet connexion.
The common areas are the kitchen and the living room, and the huge garden outside, in case the other room is also booked you should share the only bathroom we have in the house.
In winter we hit the house with two nice fireplaces, using our precious wood that comes from the forest.
Genuine Breakfast with our jams and homemade bread is optional with an extra feed.

Interaction with guests

We like people and share in a genuine way involving people in our daily activities in the farm, so our guests are welcome to participate and enjoy us in a natural and authentic atmosphere.

This is the second time we've stayed here and we had a great time as before. Luisa is a lovely host and has great friends in the region. We picked and ate mushrooms on her farm and had lovely walks on the farm and to the town (which has good restaurants and gelato and a book store and delightful little streets to walk). The room is very comfortable and quiet, so we slept well. The kitchen is well equipped so we cooked some memorable meals. Her dog, cats and chickens are all friendly and charming. Will definitely be coming back again.

Staying with Luisa was amazing! This place is definitely off the beaten path, but Luisa met up with us in the nearby town so we can follow her to the house. It was located in a chestnut forest and was absolutely wonderful. The room was spacious, comfy, and had the BEST bed. The two cats Romeo and Juliet would go on walks with us through the forest and were adorably cuddly. We stayed here 2 nights and really wished we could stay longer. The place was perfectly situated so that day trips to wineries and food places was very easy and Luisa had some great recommendations on some hot springs not too far away. So relaxing! Thank you Luisa!

Simply the most heavenly Airbnb I have ever experienced! We ended up staying much longer than we had planned, in fact we can't believe we ever left :) Luisa's chestnut house comes with everything for the perfect getaway and then you also have Luisa, the most lovely host and friend. I cannot imagine what our trip to Italy would have been like without staying her and meeting such a beautiful person. Everything in the home is perfect for a short or extended stay, all kitchen amenities, great wifi, comfy bed, and of course the spectacular views and accessibility to countless outdoor adventures. The house is a quick 10+ minute drive to Castle di Piano which can provide most needs.

We were late getting to Castel del Piano but Luisa waited for us and greeted us like family. I knew immediately Luisa was special. Luisa has a passion for living life and finds delight in everyone to every blade of grass. It was a joy to spend even a moment with her!

We ended up getting lost the first time trying to find her place, but when we called Luisa, she helped guide us. When we arrived, she was incredibly friendly and helpful in suggesting great places to see in the area. The place itself is lovely! It is beautifully quiet if you're looking to get away from the craziness of touring bigger cities. The cats, romeo and juliet, and the puppy were good company too. Also, Luisa had a dinner party one night while me and my husband were sitting outside, enjoying the sunset (you get the most perfect view!), Luisa and her neighbor were so kind to offer us wine from Montenero (I think) and tiramisu. We really hope we can make it back again to her beautiful, natural paradise. There you will find wild-growing grapes, rosemary, sage, apples. Even wandering chickens. If you're lucky, you may even be awoken by a rooster. :) Thank you, Luisa! I'm glad you are willing to share this piece of paradise!

This was one of the highlights of our 2 month trip around Europe. The property she lives on is incredible, many cherry trees with an incredible view of the surrounding hills and valley. She has 2 dogs and 2 cats, all very cute and loving. Luisa was very helpful in helping us find her house, we got lost a couple times but she always helped us find our way. She also suggested we go to a hot springs called Bagni di San Filippo. It was really an amazing time, just one hour from the house but the drive was beautiful and the he springs are free and very unique. If you're in the area I definitely recommended staying with luisa, it is a can't miss.

Luisa's home is in a beautiful spot - very tranquil, and the house and kitchen are well-equipped to enjoy relaxing evenings at home after days exploring the area. As a host, Luisa offers the very best -- she is generous, attentive, and kind-hearted, ensuring that her guests are met with absolute comfort. Luisa spent a good deal of her personal time helping me get settled for an extended stay in Italy. She has delivered everything as promised in the listing for the house, but has offered hospitality and kindness well beyond what would be expected. I give Luisa, her home, and this corner of Tuscany my highest recommendation.
