Welcome to what we jokingly call the Burning Monkey Ranch. We all have dancing monkeys in our minds, tons of thoughts that jump all over the place. When we conceived of this place, we imagined a property built and designed to 'burn the monkeys' and be totally present. We dreamed of and built a peaceful ranch with what I could only describe as 'desert magic' surrounding the home. The still calm of the desert kindles the creative mind through a setting ideal for deep focus.

The space
You will have the entire 5 acre property, including a 5 bedroom house, studio apartment, converted tiny home Greyhound bus, and airstream travel trailer!

Less Exciting: There is a pool table, large living room, outdoor sitting areas, parking, Wifi, hot tub, an art garden, more coffee and cafe making devices than i know what to do with, and lots of peace.

The really exciting stuff: Surrounded by views and views and views of countless Joshua Trees, each telling their own story if you can sit and observe them long enough. The home is nearly 3,000 square feet of funky desert colors, silliness, fun, and functionality. We have a High definition Projector, Tvs, Wifi, Coffee Press, cappuccino machine, art that doesn't always make sense, an airplane on the property, a 1959 Ford Truck painted by a Bay Area artist, a painted shipping container that was also commissioned, and a rustic door in the middle of the property's backyard :)

PS: If you stay at the property and give me any ideas of cool fun things that you think i should add, I most likely will.

Guest access
The home and outdoor space will be all yours and only yours. You will have a large patio area to hang out at and enjoy the views, air, and peace.

You may walk around, hike, do whatever you like, just be respectful of anyone you might see out and about :)

Other things to note
1. Please note that the high desert during rains can be a muddy mess. A honda civic, for example, can easily drive down the roads to this home, but if it rains hard enough the honda would not be a fun ride.

2. If you ride a motor cycle, please note you are coming to a true desert with dirt roads in some parts of the desert.

The Joshua Trees are magical. Try getting the early worm around 5:30 am and watch the sun peak over the mountains from the backyard. Watch for the silhouette of the trees or sit and watch the sunset. The pinks and oranges come out to create a type of painting. You begin to see outlines in the trees and understand why people love them.
