Hi, I offer you to stay in a comfortable room, which is normally the living-room, while I still occupy the bedroom (when I'm not travelling).
The flat is 42m², second floor (third for americans) with no lift.
You will obviously have access to internet, TV, a wide selection of music and movies, X-Box, washing machine, but first of all you will be roaming in the best, the cheapest and most popular area in Paris for going out any evening of the week and enjoy tons of bars, restaurants (all kinds of), live music and cultural events since you can find, all located five minutes by feet in famous Oberkampf/Ménilmontant district, places and venues like L'International, Le Nouveau Casino, La Bellevilloise, La Maroquinerie, L'Ermitage, Le Gibus Café, L'Alimentation Générale, le 114...
You will also easily find different kinds of itinerant street markets all week long between Ménilmontant and Belleville which is a famous chinese district.
The flat is located 500ft from "Place Ménilmontant" (metro line 2), close to cemetery "Père Lachaise" (line 3), not so far from "Les Buttes Chaumont" (the biggest garden in Paris), and 20 minutes by feet from "Place de la République" (lines 3,5,8,9,11).
There's a lot of options for moving in Paris but by using the metro you will quickly reach places like Notre-Dame, Châtelet, Montmartre, Eiffel Tower...
The supermarket across the street closes at 10pm.
You know how to play guitar? I have guitars.
You know how to play Gears Of War III? I have too.
I really enjoyed my stay at Cedric's.
Cedric is very accommodating and friendly, he was also very fun to talk to in general. He gave us great bar + food recommendations, and they were indeed great! The neighborhood is very lively. Not the closest to sightseeing areas, but it's very great to check out some hipster-looking places and music venues in Paris, away from major tourist attractions. Even though the flat is small, I had no issues and had a comfortable stay.
I would stay here again, and I strongly recommend!
I had a nice time at Cedric's, he was very welcoming and hospitable. The apartment was in a very lively district with lots of bars and live music venues, many of which were free! Despite this, the apartment was very quiet at night. Cedric also has a great music and DVD collection, which is great to unwind to after a busy day enjoying Paris. I highly recommend this place.
My stay with Cedric was great, I recommend staying with him
Cedric was an amazing host. Extremely helpful and quick to revert. The room itself was v clean, had little smoke smell but that did not bother us at all! Overall - I would highly recommend this room
Cédric is such a warm and welcoming individual who's passion for music made for an immediate connection and a wonderful environment. He welcomed lighting candles, incense, and playing any music from his expansive library of incredible options. He's attentive and acts more as a personal Bed & Beverage than a "Here's the keys, enjoy your time" Airbnb host. Bring him delicious tea and your favorite music and you'll have a new friend with promises of an international visit. I recommend the surrounding international neighborhood that came alive during the World Cup Playoffs. Although you'll be taking over Cédric's living room and fold out couch, he'll openly give it to you with open arms or, rather, kisses on the cheeks.
Séjour sympathique chez Cédric. Un hôte très chouette, appartement sympa dans un super quartier. Très bien accueillie et bien dormi (prévoir boules quies tout de même pour les gens sensibles au bruit ). Un lieu que je recommande!
The flat is really nicely decorated, clean, comfortable bed and the room has a view of one of the best streets in Paris. I was searching for something in the area and I really found this the ideal place to stay. Unfortunately I only had the chance to meet Cedric once, a shame since he's super nice!
Merci Cédric, à la prochaine !
I had a nice one-week stay in Cédric's flat, which is a short walk from the metro station and on the 2nd floor (3rd story walk-up) of a historic building. The small kitchen has a toaster oven, microwave, two gas burners and a bar fridge, enough to make some home-cooked meals with great French ingredients! Bathroom was clean and included a shower, WC and washing machine. The living room has a large collection of DVDs and CDs, along with a TV and computers. The sofa bed was comfortable and I slept well, even with the street noise. Note this is a smoking apartment, so may not be suitable for those with sensitivities. There is no closet, so bring clothes that can stay in your luggage and use a small towel so it will dry faster. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Cédric, but he was quick to respond and very accommodating, even checking a few days later to make sure I had everything I needed. His neighbour and friend were also friendly and hospitable, making it a great trip!
About the smoking, I must say that the person who was occupying the bedroom during my journey smokes a lot, much more than me..sorry I didn't note that point but yes it is a smoking place as written in the description.
About the occasional street noise I'm glad to announce that I'll have brand new windows in a few weeks so the light troubles will be fixed soon and everything should be perfect for your next stay!
I spend 4 days at Cédirc's place. He was a great host; very welcoming and reachable at all times. The apartement has got all you need, and the location was perfect for me, as the purpose of my trip, was to visit a friend who lives in the same area. I really liked the neighborhood though, with it's lack of tourists, but with a lot of shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkeds. There's a really pretty parc nearby aswell, with a great view. The bus and metro is to find less than 3 min. from the apartement, and it will take you to the citycenter in a short time.
I wouldn't hesitate staying at Cédric's place another time, and you shouldn't either :)
My stay at Cédric's was wonderful. His flat is clean, comfortable and he is an excellent host! The location is ideal - just a few minute walk to the metro, which quickly gets you to the main tourist spots in Paris. Ménilmontant (email hidden)ly neighborhood with character and has many restaurants and bars that stay open late. This was my first time to Paris and I was traveling alone. Cédric's hospitality helped make my trip to Paris a great experience!
